"This is a splendid side dish. I wouldn't change a thing. Made for Photo Tag Game. :)"
"Yummy stuff.. I made this with sweet butter (unsalted), Basmati rice from a Persian grocers which I rinsed and soaked about 30 minutes before beginning, sea salt to taste, Thompson raisins and yellow raisins for more colour, a small dash cayenne pepper powder instead of red pepper flakes, home made chicken stock, the optional fresh parsley, plus the rest of the ingredients. I served this with recipe#303861, recipe#593927 and recipe#339985 with freshly squeezed lemon and dried mint added for a good meal. I might make this again. Made for "I've saved all these recipes!" March Diabetic Tag."
"Wonderful WONDERFUL.... This was a fantastic side dish. I did leave out the raisins.. other than that made as written, and wouldn't change a thing, very flavorful.. Made this with my food.com recipe#314667 #314667. Made for a great meal."
"I made this in the traditional Persian method by soaking the rice first then boiling for 8 minutes then steaming using a tea towel under the lid. The red pepper flakes were omitted, too so that Tasty Dish could eat the rice. Served with pan grilled chicken and steamed vegetables for an easy Saturday night meal. (PS I also used homemade vegetable broth.) Made for Sweet December."
"We very much enjoyed this aromatic and flavoursome rice dish which is much more easily prepared than one might imagine! Such an interesting mix of sweet and delicately spicy. I omitted the orange zest (was using prepared orange juice) but used the parsley. I enjoy rice at all times, and it is always good to enjoy a recipe which brings more focus to a dish that is often 'just a side-dish'. this would be a very good one for entertaining since little effort is required but it looks like a lot of effort has gone into it!!!<br/>Thank you, Kerfuffle, for sharing this lovely recipe, enjoyed for Sweet December 2014"
"Wonderful rice recipe!! I made this as written, although scaled back in servings, but left out the raisins for personal preference and used cayenne pepper instead of the flakes. I also used blood oranges for the juice and zest and just loved the almonds with the rice, so good!!! Thanks for sharing the recipe and one I will make again. Made for 123 Tag Game."
"Luscious, great foil for plainer entrée and vegetable dishes. Made for Rookie Recipe Tag."
