"This is for those of you who enjoy hot apple cider, but don't want to make a large batch of it!"
Serving Size: 1 (186 g)
Servings Per Recipe: 1
"This was tasty. I didn't have whole ingredients so I put 1/4 tsp cloves, 1/4 tsp allspice, 1/8 tsp cinnamon, and 1 tsp brown sugar in a tea bag. I put the tea bag in the apple juice, microwaved for 2 min, then let it steep for 3 additional minutes. Perfect when you want something hot but different than tea or coffee. Thanks for the idea!"
"SO tasty. The flavor is spot on. I, too, like another commenter, only had loose spices. It tastes bitter if you don't strain them out. What I did, was fashion a tea bag out of a coffee filter, and then followed the other review precisely. I'll copy and paste it: "1/4 tsp cloves, 1/4 tsp allspice, 1/8 tsp cinnamon, and 1 tsp brown sugar in a tea bag. I put the tea bag in the apple juice, microwaved for 2 min, then let it steep for 3 additional minutes."<br/><br/><br/>So delicious! Perfect for the chillier weather. And so simple!"
"Made to kick off the season and I can hardly wait for the lull of Christmasy music, but then I always did like to plan ahead."
"This sounds delicious! I'm definitely making this today, it's the perfect day for it since it's cold and windy."
"This was great, especially since I'm the only one in the house that really likes cider, but I hate doing a pot of it. This recipe is easy to double for when I actually have company too, if you up the cooking time a little."
"YUMMY hot cider...and easy!"
"This cider tasted good. It is a very quick recipe when you are the only one who wants hot cider. The only thing I had to do different was to shorten the microwave time because mine boil over at 2 minutes. Thanks Christine NJ Bullwinkle"
"With fall just around the corner we were glad to find this apple cider recipe for one. We placed the spices into a tea infuser ball and placed it in the mug. We waited until it was JUST RIGHT then, voila a perfect cup of hot cider. "
"This tasted mighty good! It hit the spot for a nice hot spiced cider. I didn't have whole allspice,so used powdered and strained the cider into the cup. Thanks Christine!"
"Mmmm...the perfect, soothing drink for a cold night. I had purchased a large jug of cider for another recipe and was looking for more uses. This recipe surfaced, and I am very pleased to have found it. The spices are subtle, yet the overall flavor is excellent. My kitchen smelled wonderful as it brewed. I did save the strained spices to add to my pot of fragrance simmering on the stove...double duty. :)"
"This is nice, mildly spiced apple juice, and it's very easy to make. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to taste the spices, so crushed them roughly before adding them to the cup. Followed the directions otherwise, did need to strain afterward. The spice flavor was good, I thought, not too weak but not too strong. Thank you for posting this."
