"A great way to make sweetened iced tea! For people who like different levels of sweetness, this is so much better than stirring in sugar which never fully dissolves. I made 1/4 recipe. Lemon is a nice addition, using the slices in the syrup and straining makes for no seeds. Thanks, ricky, for a great idea!"
"I don't put sugar in my tea but I made it for the members of my family who do. This made a flavorful sweetener for those who use sugar in their tea. It made it nice to only have to make one pitcher of tea and then everyone could have their tea the way they like it. My family liked the minty sweet taste it added to the tea. Very quick and easy. "This is great! My husband likes unsweetened tea, and so do I, but I prefer sweetened tea. I've tried sweetening tea by the glass, but the sugar never completely dissolves! So, this recipe was a perfect solution and I made it the first day I saw it! I made a quarter of the recipe and used lemon juice, because that's what I had on hand. AHHHHHHH! Pure nectar! "I halved this recipe and made it using 2 1/2 cups sugar, 1 1/2 cups water and juice of 3 sliced lemons, the very day you posted it! My family found the quantity of sugar to be very high as this was very sweet, so, I had to add alot more water(I think I added 2-3 cups more) to it. Served it chilled and it was enjoyed by one and all."
