"An easy and cheap dinner. Put it all in the crock in the morning and go about your day. Serve by itself, or for a more filling dinner, on top of rice."

"My host family LOVED this!!! The didn't even know that it was made in a crockpot! I highly recomed"
"Wonderful. Very inexpensive and very easy. I tend to add lots of 'extras' to recipes (such as carrots, celery and lots more garlic and spices), but I didn't for this and it was very flavorful. It was like eating a thick stew. I did use extra-lean beef, browned it w/the onion (and yes, a little minced garlic). This was done on low and was more than ready to eat after 5 hours. Served it w/sides of steamed broccoli and peas. Thanks."
"This dinner was just okay for my family. I followed the recipe exactly and cooked on High for one hour, then on Low for 3 hours and the potatoes were fairly mushy, but still tasted good. The soup mixture wound up very watery (like I feared) instead of saucy (like I hoped), and I had to add some cornstarch to thicken it. I think the biggest complaint was that it was too bland and that it just tasted like the typical "cream of whatever" soup meal. My husband did say that he wouldn't mind me making this again as long as I added some spices and other flavors. While we didn't fully enjoy it as a stand alone dinner, I think that it is a great base recipe that you can use to build other great meals. I also love the cost factor. The cost for the entire crock pot full was around $4.00 since I had most of the stuff on hand to begin with. I think next time I make it, I will add garlic (instead of garlic salt), some Marsala wine and fresh mushrooms and see what happens."
"It was just ok. Turkey was just too dry. It would have been nice if it was a bit more thicker."
"Taste is a tad bland but the family enjoyed it. Presentation is OK (I wouldn%u2019t make it for guest). Its easy to make so its worth a try."
"This was tasty. I put the turkey in raw and it came out just fine. I opted for three large cloves of garlic instead of the powder. Next time I would use half as much condensed soup and twice as much beef broth. I also might be a bit more generous with the potato. Will definitely make this again."
"Sorry really didn"t do much for us we all agreed it needed something more I would have to add alot of seasoning to spice this up"
"This is DELICIOUS!!! I changed it a bit by using 3 cloves of fresh garlic instead of garlic salt, Healthy Request Cream of Mushroom Soup, and omitting the wine and steak sauce (not a fan of either of these). I also put the turkey in raw instead of browning in advance and it was fine. A great recipe!!!"
"I goofed and didnt' get this in as early as I planned - it cooked for about 3 1/2 hours on high and was still fine! I took DaniRoze's suggestion and added fresh mushrooms (10 oz) and used minced garlic instead of the garlic salt (we are very careful about sodium in our house because of HBP). I didn't have any white wine open (although I could have used this as an excuse!) and didn't use the steak sauce. It was quite liquidy when I was done - probably because of the mushrooms giving off all their water, but still quite tasty! Next time I'll not use the beef broth when I use mushrooms!"
"This was excellent! I'm only giving it 4 stars because I did make a few alterations. I added fresh mushrooms and subed vegetable stock, and instead of garlic salt I used 3 cloves of fresh garlic. I served it over brown rice with hawaiin rolls on the side. My hubby said it is "comparable to nothing" he's ever had, but "the best comfort food!". We also spiced it up with tobasco. The left overs were great! Thanks for sharing."
"This was very easy, cheap and good. Will make it again if I am looking for something simple to make. I did not have garlic salt and used vegetable broth instead of beef, it was still tasty. I just wish the sauce was thicker."
"We loved it! It doesnt look like it will be good, but we were surprised! I addes baby carrots to mine."
"Turned out great - I used Low Salt or No Salt everything, so not salty, but I used extra spices, Italian, to give it a little more kick. Wonderful come home from the cold dinner, thanks for posting."
"We really, really didn't like this. I followed the recipe to the letter, except for using A1 rather than Lea & Perrin's since that's what I had in the house. We ended up throwing this out - and I NEVER throw out food. It is easy, and it is cheap, but it tasted horrible."
"This is SERIOUSLY yummy...and as the description says, easy and cheap (three of my favorite words LOL!). I used "healthy request" mushroom soup, and I'm glad I did b/c the full-sodium stuff might have made this a bit too salty. I also browned the onions with the meat, used chicken broth, and threw in some mixed frozen pot pie veggies I wanted to use up. I was a little worried about the timing of the recipe b/c so many reviews list so many different cook times. I cooked it on high for about 5.25 hours, and it came out fine! Wouldn't want to go much longer, though..."
"I was planning on doing a Banquet crockpot frozen dinner for supper, but when I got it out, it was so icy and the chicken was so freezer-burned that I threw it away. I don't really care for them anyway, but had one on hand because of the convenience. Well, this only took a few minutes longer to prepare (besides the browning of the meat), and it was so much better! Even better, I had all of the ingredients on hand. I browned the meat and the onion together, and I didn't have Lea and Perrins, so I used A1. I was skeptical about the potatoes cooking all the way since they were only about half covered with liquid, but they were fine. I cooked on high for about 6 hours. I was unsure with my first bite, but by the 3rd bite, I had made up my mind. My husband first said "This is okay." And then a few minutes later he said "Actually this is pretty good!" Served it alone in a bowl, with Lazy Irish Beer Bread and Honey Butter on the side."
"This was good. We thought it tasted kind of like meatloaf, so we put some ketchup on it and it was real good. I would make it again. Not fancy food, but a good weeknight dinner. It was easy to make. I mixed the wet ingredients together and then put it on top of the turkey and it worked fine. I think next time I will cook the onions with the turkey first before I add them to the crock pot. I only cooked it for 5-6 hours in my crockpot on the low setting and it was cooked just fine."
"This recipe was a huge hit in my home. The only thing I did different was I didn't brown the meat prior to putting in the crockpot, I crumbled it in raw and it was just fine. I also added salt and pepper and about a 1/2 cup of sour cream about 10 minutes before serving. Its great over rice! Thanks for sharing this one Miss Diggy!"
"We loved it. I added sliced carots for the vitamins and color. I have to watch salt intake so I used reduced sodium soup and didn't use garlic salt, minced fresh garlic instead."
