"For many years these cookies have been our favorite 4th of July picnic cookies . . . soft and moist!"
Serving Size: 1 (46 g)
Servings Per Recipe: 36
"Very nice cookie! I took my warm cookies and dipped them into the frosting. Very easy and they had a nice glaze that way."
"I really liked these cookies! The texture and consistency is great. I really wish they had a richer chocolate flavor. A half cup of cocoa wasn't enough for me for this size batch of cookies. I will definitely add more next time, but overall, I really like this recipe. The icing is really good, too. I will be adding more cocoa to that as well."
"Divine is definitely the word for these. I changed the vanilla to peppermint extract, they were a cross between Girl Scout cookie thin mints and brownies. Everyone loved them. One is a treasure. Easy to make too."
"Oh, these are divine! They are delicate and not overly sweet, like little cupcakes but easier. These will be the death of my diet. :-). Thank you for the recipe"
"Delicious! Wonderful recipe. Texture is soft with a crunchy outside...frosty is to die for! Thanks for sharing! Don't miss out on making these."
"Wonderful little chocolate cookies. The cookie is not too sweet and it has a light texture. The frosting is to the perfect topping for this cookie. Definitely a keeper."
"I cannot believe that I made 4 batches of these fabulous cookies and forgot to rate them! They are one of the best cookies I've had in a long time. They are cake like, yet airy at the same time. Just a wonderful cookie! They're wonderful alone, but frosted, they enter another dimension! Thanks so much for sharing this! I made these for Christmas, and they were gratefully accepted on my Christmas platters!"
"These are to die for!! Their like rich little chocolate cakes. My family loves these! Thanks Grannie B for another amazing recipe."
