"I LOVE kale and this is how I like to make it almost every time. I'm a hot pepper flake chick, but if that's too much for you, just leave it out! Great as a side dish, but I can eat this as my main meal, maybe just add some chickpeas or cannelini beans in at the end, amazing!"

"Being inexperienced kale eaters, my husband and I expected this to taste like spruced-up spinach (which we detest). I am so glad we took a chance because we were so wrong! This dish is incredible! Super flavorful and packed full of antioxidants - we will be enjoying this again and again!"
"So yummy! Will definitely make again but will probably leave the vinegar on the side for anyone who wants it."
"Very good~~but as another reviewer noted, it should indicate to turn down the heat after you cover. I also found that mine required a little more liquid. It's questionable how many carbs are in Kale. This indicated 18.9g per servings My Food Diary indicates that there were 28.5g in just 4 cups chopped raw. 1 1/2 pounds chopped Kale is certainly a lot more then 4 cuts. Still enjoyed it."
"Yummy and healthy!! I really love eating something like kale that is soooo good for you yet can taste this wonderful!!! I used chicken broth in place of veggie stock and I topped with a little grated aged asiago cheese as a tasty garnish. Great recipe for kale!!!"
"Very yummy, lots of flavor. I added chic peas at the end and they soaked up all the flavor beautifully. I needed about 3 times the broth to keep the kale from drying out while cooking with the lid on. I'll turn the heat down a notch next time."
"Delicious. I used turkey bacon and also added some onions. My veg-hating husband had two helpings :)"
"This was my first time cooking kale and it turned out great! Thank you for the wonderful recipe."
"Last night I cooked Kale for the first time and tried this recipe. My husband and I loved it. For extra flavour I sautéed 3 strips of bacon along with the garlic and cut back on the olive oil. I will definitely make this again....."
"Great recipe! I'll make my kale like this from now on. The only advice I'll give, is- don't skimp on the veggie stock. I guessed I had about 3/4 lb. of kale, so halved the stock. I could have used the the full amount. Thanks for the seriously great recipe. :-)"
"This was a wonderful, simple preparation for kale. I'd never cooked kale before, so I wasn't sure how much it would cook down... I think I definitely used less than the recipe calls for, as I had a good amount of oil/stock left in the pan after cooking (no trouble with it drying out/burning like other reviewers). The kale turned out perfectly tender and vibrant green after just a few minutes. I left out the vinegar, but squeezed a little fresh lemon juice over it after it was done, and it was absolutely delicious. Boyfriend loves vegetables and he was amazed at how good this tasted with such simple prep. Thank you for sharing!"
"very good. Wanted to try kale, and found that I love it coked this way....thanks!"
"Loved it. Made this today for lunch, Followed the recipe exactly except subbed red wine vinegar for the balsamic, cause that's just my preference. Added chickpeas like the note suggested, Yum."
"A keeper, for sure."
"Like so many others have said this is a nice healthy way to enjoy fresh kale. I used chicken stock for the recipe and pre-chopped kale in a bag. Next go I might use a little more stock and cook it a bit longer. The balsamic vinegar is a wonderful addition."
"The only reason I am giving this recipe 4 stars is because I followed it to a tee and it ended up burnt. I should have followed my instincts and turned the tempurature down once I had it covered. There was no mention of a temperature change and kept it on med-high, and when the lid came off it was burnt. The garlic got burnt. We ate it anyway, my husband loved it and says, "if its this good burnt, I wonder what it tastes like not burnt!" I also used pomegranate vinegar instead of balsamic vinegar and it tasted fine. I think that if I had turned it down and cooked it a little longer, it would have turned out right and been great! So this is on my list of try agains."
"We really enjoyed this recipe. It was funny though the son that is my picky eater that I assumed would not like the kale loved it and the other one who is my adventurous upcoming foodie did not. But the cook liked it and I'm the one rating it! Thanks for the a great recipe."
"We quite enjoyed this dish! I cut the oil down to 1 T and used water....but I think the vegetable stock might give the dish a little more depth. The 2T balsamic vinegar was borderline tart, so next time I might try it with just 1 T. One thing for sure...we will do it again! Thanks for the posting"
"Love this recipe!! I use kale a lot in stews and soups, but who knew it could be soooo great as a side dish! YUM!"
"This was great! My new favorite recipe for kale :) Thanks for posting."
"A good for you dish! Nice kick. I did use habanero pepper flakes. The balsamic I did reduce to a thick syrup then added. I used I used red and green organic kale. Skipped the salt because of diet restrictions but I would say that would be delish! Thanks1"
