"My mom makes these on Christmas morning! And even after they're cold, they still seem to disappear... yummy..."
Serving Size: 1 (182 g)
Servings Per Recipe: 6
"These were very good, but I don't think they came out like they were supposed to. The apples stayed at the bottom of the tins and didn't rise to the top so when I was removing them, a lot of the apple filling was still in the muffin pan and not in the muffin. I also had to cook them a lot longer than 10 minutes. Probably closer to 20 - 25 minutes. These were very good though and definitely a treat for breakfast. I will add another apple to the recipe next time. I will also pour a little batter into the muffin tin before adding the apples to insure that they won't be on the bottom and then pour a little more batter on top. They were very pretty sprinkled with the powdered sugar! Thanks for posting this great idea!"
"These were something different and very good! I think I may have added a full cup of milk, rather than the 3/4 c called for, but they were still fabulous! Mine came out with a custard-like texture, and had plenty of apples in them. (I used two large apples). The butter should be melted, I believe, before adding to the blender. You could also substitute oil, as I chose to do. I really enjoyed the change of pace. Thanks for sharing!"
"Yummy! These were simple and very good. I cooked mine for about 18 minutes before they were set and they probably could have gone a couple more minutes. Thanks Cadillacgirl for a nice new keeper. Made for Fall PAC 2009."
"These are really yummy and quite easy to make. I ended up baking them for 30 minutes, and they slid right out of the muffin tins. This is definitely a keeper!"
"Super! Just like the big German Apple Pancake, but ready so much faster! Done in about 12 minutes, and we all enjoyed watching them puff up in the oven. 2 adults & a toddler ate the whole pan for brunch. Yummy treat."
"Yum! These were great. I made them with gluten free all purpose four and almond milk. They cooked for 20 minutes but went out of the tin without problems. We had them with recipe #481878 which was a perfect addition. Thanks lovely for sharing a lovely recipe :)
Made for ZWT 8 / Family Picks for the Lively Lemon Lovelies"
"DD absolutely loved it, I found it leaned a bit on the eggy side, but still delicious (I used syrup instead of powdered sugar). Quick and easy - my kind of breakfast. Thanks Cadillacgirl! Made for ZWT8 Family Picks."
"I made this as one big baked pancake full of diced green apples and chopped banana. I too ended up with a custard like texture which was delicious and not overly sweet. made for ZWT8."
"Wow, these are tasty. I made them as instructed but found the quantity a little confusing. the recipe shows yield is 12, but in the nutrition facts It shows 6. So I made 8 and found I had batter left over. so next time I'll make 12 but maybe add more apple. Thanks for sharing ."
"Made this for friends this weekend and it was wonderful. Thank for a great addition to my breakfast menus."
"We loved this recipe! Items I always have in my pantry so easy to whip up for a special breakfast treat."
"We had a "breakfast for dinner" night and made these along with a side of bacon. They are delicious! I felt like I was eating apple pie for dinner. Thanks or sharing!"
"Easy and not too sweet. I used apple and blueberries and let it cook until there was very little water left. We really liked the fruit in these so next time I would double the fruit. Thanks for the recipe."
"So delicious! Young and old ate them all up."
"These were very good, but the only thing was that my family said they weren't very filling. So, maybe serving these as a side is a better idea than serving them as breakfast. When adding the milk, I did 1/2 cup of milk and 1/4 cup of apple cider/ The apples were a bit thin, I thought(added the sauce) so maybe next time I'll try cooking it down a little more. A yummy start, and good with the small alterations. Thanks for sharing!"
"Tasty and easy. They are even good cold, which can't be said for normal pancakes. They're kind of addictive, I'll be making these often!"
