"Oh, the aroma! I know, but get off my lawn. (Wonderful sauce!) Made for A-NZ#62 recipe tag."
"What a great dish to whip up after work. I sliced my chicken breasts in half (because they were very thick) and tenderized them before putting them in the skilled. I couldn't find unsweetened chunky applesauce so I used regular unsweetened applesauce. The flavors in the sauce were outstanding. I loved the natural sweetness of the applesauce with the BBQ sauce and the touch of heat from the pepper and chili powder. Delicious!!! Recipenapped for July 2011 Aus/NZ Swap."
"So quick and easy to prepare with out any fuss.. I thought the combo a little weird when reading it but after mixing the apple sauce with spicy BBQ sauce it really does work and gives for a very flavoursome BBQ sauce.. I could not find chili powder here in Spain in the couple of supermarkets I went to so I bought cayenne instead. I just lowered the amount to half stated as this is a lot hotter and for us it was perfect, just the right amount of heat coming through. I will definitely be making this again and like another reviewer had stated I might try this with a bit of pork next time.. Full of flavour and a great combo if you like a sweet/spicy BBQ sauce.. Thanks for posting it was a winner for us!!!"
"Well this was a suprise and loved it! Both DH and I thought what a combo when I showed him the recipe but put together it was great! I used the inddor grill as the rains are still her. I also r3duced the chii powder to 1/2 as I am not a hot eater. We used homemade unsweetened applesauce and we just loved it. I think this sauce would be fantastic on pork chops or a pork loin. I will update when I make it. hmmm pulled pork sandwich....even better next time I can make pulled chicken sandwiches. Morgain this is a winner! Made for AUS/NZ Swap 52"
"Very good. I didn't have chunky applesauce so I use regular organic applesauce and diced up an apple instead. It had a very nice flavor."
"You are really on to something with this barbecue sauce!I was pleasantly surprised by the addition of applesauce to the recipe. The sauce thickened nicely and was very flavorful. I did want to note that your recipe made more than enough sauce for up to 8 chicken breasts. Also, this recipe is what I would label as sweet and spicy. Very good! Thanks morgainegeiser."
