"I love the flavour of the fresh parsley and the fresh sage in this! I used whole grain bread and I have a little trick for cutting the bread that I learned in a culinary school. Put something like chopsticks or butter knives on either side of the loaf so when you cut through it, it won't cut all the way through. It's not complicated but it works! I enjoyed this with recipe #212739 and I will make this again! Made for Kittencal's Grilling Tag Game. Thanks Gailann! :)"
"This is a great garlic 'herby' butter mix. I altered this recipe a bit by reducing it to 1/3 and serving on the side with warm crusty bread for people to apply on their own. I found my fresh parsley expired and instead used fresh chives and omitted the green onions in order not to get too much onion flavour. It worked great and was loved by all. The salt and pepper certainly brings out the flavours.."
"Great tasting herbed french bread! Loved the herb butter - can see keeping it on hand to make garlic toast when cooking for two. Thank you, this one is a keeper at my house. Made for the AUz/NZ Swap."
"I scaled the recipe back too, but I don't think I scaled it back enough! But this was guiltily delicious! I had way too much butter for the bread I had, but just couldn't waste it :) ! So mine was extra tastey! I did increase the garlic, but kept the other ingredients the same. Thanks so much for sharing!"
"YUM. The sage adds a whole new twist to a "garlic bread" Made for Everyday is a Holiday Tag"
"Yum! I scaled the recipe down and just used 3 slices of bread. Great mix of flavors. Thanks Gail! Made for Zaar Stars."
"Wonderful! So good and so flavorful! I will use this again!"
"I left the onion off but added a little onion powder to the mix when making. Made for Zaar Stars Tag"
"oh this is sooo good!! I used it instead of garlic bread, just loved it"
"Excellent. Loved the addition of the sage. I made mine on the grill and cooked for 15 minutes. The bottom got a little brown, but tasted great. thanks for sharing. Made for you win in Summer Spectacular :)"
"We really enjoyed this. The fresh herb flavours really stood out. My bf found the garlic a bit strong but I thought it was perfect. I'll never buy store-bought garlic bread again! Thanks for a great recipe!"
"This was a vert east and quick recipe to make. I floowed the recipe exactly and it turned out perfectly. And the best part, it tastes so very good! This butter is something a little different to use and serve on french bread and makes a nice change. Great taste, quick and easy, what more could you ask for! Thanks gailanng."
"This was a nice change from the usual combinations of herbs for garlic bread. We especially liked the use of the spring onion. Thanks gailanng.Made for 1-2-3 Hit Wonders."
"I used the for the biscuits in this Menu #28651. Added some whole grain Dijon mustard and an extra clove of garlic. My leftovers will be used for an omelet in the morning! ;) Merci! Made for ZWT5"
"DH made this to go along with Lasagne for dinner. We really loved the sage in this bread. I know this is a recipe that we will use again. Thank you! Made for Every Day is a Holiday!"
"This bread was awesome! The flavor was just fantastic and the technique made the bread come out all moist and perfect- like fresh baked bread almost. This is the way I'm going to do it every time. Thanks, GailAnn for yet another keeper."
"Oh yummmm. Easy and made my day old bread take on a whole new life. Thanks Gail... made for everyday tag. No pic posted, Pat's so much better than mine."
"Wonderful bread, loved the flavours, did have to use dried parsley though (1 teaspoon) and I like to cut my bread all the way through, butter both sides and re-assemble. Thank you gailanng for a great recipe, made for Edition 8 Make My Recipe."
"I am always looking for something new to do with bread beyond the traditional garlic bread spread. I liked the addition of sage; it added a different dimension to the flavor! However, when I make this again, I will add some salt to the mix as I use unsalted butter and it seemed like it was lacking a little bit of saltiness. Thanks for sharing; made for Every Day is Holiday."
"This was simple and tasty, I used it on herb biscuits and look forward to trying it on grilled bread. I used fresh parsley and rubbed sage and a combination of green onion and shallot, I also increased the garlic. Thank you gailanng for sharing your recipe, made for ZWT 5 by one of the Chefs With Dirty Faces"
