"I made these today & they were easy to whip up, moist & chewy!! I used butter flavored crisco, instead of butter. I added raisins, 1 finely chopped granny smith apple, chopped walnuts, 1 tsp of cinnamon and 1/2 tsp of nutmeg. I mixed everything into the batter. They only take 10 minutes in the oven. What could be easier!! Thank you so........much for the recipe!!! I plan to bake these all of the time. DELICIOUS!!"
"I recently made these oatmeal apple bars as a pre-hike breakfast and they were perfect! I have made them two more times since then. The 2nd time I mixed about 2/3 of the apples & walnuts into the actual dough and put the remainder on top. We liked that better. They are very soft, but are delicious! They did become quite gooey while hiking in hot weather. My boyfriend can't get enough. Thanks for sharing! This recipe is a keeper."
"Wonderful!! Found this recipe when needed something quick to fix. Tastes like oatmeal cookie dough!"
