About This Recipe
"I recently began to try drinks with sparkling wine. When a drink asks for champagne, I use sparkling wine. This is from Rachael Ray."
Ingredients
- 6 sugar cubes
- 6 tablespoons cherry juice
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- champagne or sparkling wine
Directions
- Place 1 sugar cube, 1 tablespoon cherry juice and 1 teaspoon lemon juice in each of 6 champagne flutes. Fill with champagne.

"I enjoyed this for a change of pace, but did find it very sweet.
I used a sparkling wine, but think next time I will use a Brut instead of Curvee, I think with Brut it may be not as sweet.
I used fresh cherry juice and followed as per recipe ~ Although I found it sweet others did not find it too sweet at all. They loved it sweeter.

"I really enjoyed this cocktail. It was refreshing and offered just the right blend of cherry and lemon to round out the fruity (Asti Spumante) champagne I used. I will serve this cocktail in place of mimosa, which is what I usually serve during our brunch celebrations."
