"I came up with this recipe by combinding several stuffed pepper soups. When I made this I was craving stuffed peppers but could only eat soup. My future hubby ate this right up and said it tasted better then stuffed peppers."
Serving Size: 1 (226 g)
Servings Per Recipe: 10
"This was very good! Very simple yet delicious! The only changes I made were that I used a 28oz crushed tomatoes and 15 oz can tomato sauce (that was the size of cans that I had of each) and microwaved a steamfresh bag of rice and added it at the end. Also added some red pepper flakes for a little bite!
"This soup was delicious. I made it as posted. The only change I made was to add a little
brown sugar, as one poster suggested."
"Added some Montreal seasoning and 2 tbs brown sugar. Used red peppers, diced tomatoes instead of crushed and kept rice on the side and added on top when served. Very nice recipe thanks for sharing."
"Exactly what I was hoping for. This recipe was great. I browned the meat with the green pepper, onion and garlic all together. Instead of tomato sauce, I used part crushed tomatoes, part diced tomatoes and a can of Rotel tomatoes with chilies. Thanks for sharing."
"This Is Outstanding... We Loved It and Will definately Make It Again"
"Love it --so easy and tasty !Thanks!"
"Great soup! Will make this often. The only thing that I will change next time, I will drain the fat from the meat. I did add some cabbage to this. I used both green and yellow bell peppers, since that is what the store had on sale. This is a keeper."
"This was so good. It hit the spot on a cold day!"
"Christine, this was Fantastic! Tasted just like a Stuffed Bell Pepper....Went to make Stuffed Peppers and seen this soup....Thank you again, for a staple in our home!"
"Very good soup! I did make some changes with the rice. I used cooked basmati rice and added it when I served the soup. When I make it again, I will add more peppers. Thanks for sharing a great recipe."
"I've been looking for a good "Stuffed Pepper Soup" recipe. This is the one!!! Delicious! Thank you for sharing. Alan"
"I was given a bunch of garden fresh peppers from one of our regulars at the restaurant and decided to give your recipe a try...OH MY...everyone who tasted it loved it! and is a big hit at the restaurant!! it tasted exactly like the stuffed peppers my mom used to make. I kept the recipe the same except for one thing....instead of just 2 large green peppers I added 6 other than that I followed it to the tee. thank you for sharing your recipe!!"
"Delish soup. I didn't have "all" of the ingredients so I subbed fire roasted tomatoes for the crushed. Thanks for the recipe."
"WOW! This is GOOD! We love stuffed peppers, so this reipe caught my eye! Had to try it right away! :-) I had to make a few adjustments, because I did not want to go to the grocery store. I had no crushed tomatoes, so I used Petite Diced Tomatoes with onins and garlic. I had a box of beef broth (4c) so I used that and left out the water. I had 6 very smal peppers and used them all. I had already thawed ground sirloin and Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage to make meatloaf and used that. Had cooked brown rice on hand. Now I have to say:"This is indeed better than Stuffed Peppers"!!! Thanks for posting! :-) Hope many will try it."
