"I read this recipe - got right up and made it - sipping it now and WOW!
I love whiskey sours and this one is just right!
Great recipe thanks!"
"Just the right amount of tart and sweet. No problems with it not staying combined (though I might have drunk it before it had a chance lol) Thanks for posting!"
"Watching the dismal campaign nonsense got me craving a sweet drink to take me back to the good old days of Whiskey sours & interesting elections.Jen's sour was perfect, very smooth ,a nice contrast of sweet/mellow.I may need a gallon on standby for the debates!"
"This drink has some pros and cons to it. Pros: it was a nice, smooth drink...mind you, we did add 1/2 oz more rye (to cut the sweetness) and lots of ice. Cons: One was enough....I found it almost too sweet by the time I finished the drink (and by that time, it was diluted alot by the ice!!) Would I have it again....proably not, but it was sure fun trying something new!!!"
"Now this is really different! Had some Canadian Maple syrup so thought why not ... also thought it would be too sweet - have to go with Maito - it's a perfect balance of sweet and tart."
"I downed this after dinner. MMMMmmm! Even after mixing it, the maple seemed to settle but I mixed it again before drinking it quickly and it was like a lovely taste of sourness with the sweetness next. Thanks! Made for ZWT4."
"This is an amazing drink, maybe our new favorite! You wouldn't know it has maple syrup in it. It has the perfect balance of sweet and tart, and was not too sweet for DH, who doesn't like sweet drinks. YUM! Can I go make another one?"
"Loved it,will make again"
"I loved this. The maple flavour was great and balanced very nicely by the fresh lemon juice. Made for ZWT4"
"I found it a little too sweet. Maybe I would have like it better with less maple syrup. Thanks Jen. Made for the Babes of ZWT4"
"I didn't know what to think about the maple syrup, but it was delicious! Made for ZWT4 for the Tastebud Tickling Travellers."
"We had these after dinner while in Canada on the Zaar World Tour. I even used Sortilège, which is a mix of Canadian rye whisky and maple syrup - finally found a use for it!!! These made playing Racko Even more fun! Thanks Jen! Whine and Cheese."
"Never would have thought to add maple syrup to a drink, but it works really well. Nice twist on a whiskey sour. Made for the Babes of ZWT4."
"As I am allergic to alcohol DH had to taste test this one. I don't think it hurt his feelings at all. He said that he liked the hit of maple in it. I guess he did he had 3 of them last night. Thank you for a great new adult beverage for DH. Made for ZWT4 by a Chic Chef."
"Just mixed up one for me and am enjoying and relaxing as I post. Pure joy, with the musty taste of the rye, sweet maple and zingy lemon. A winner."
