"From a Galveston-area church cookbook, this is an easy and delicious beef stir-fry dish!"
Serving Size: 1 (343 g)
Servings Per Recipe: 4
"Excellent dish, very flavorful. I used beef broth instead of chicken, because I thought it would blend better with the flavor of the meat. I also served this over thin spaghetti instead of rice. We all enjoyed it. Thanks for posting!"
"This tasted a lot like my chow mein recipe. I did leave out the mushrooms because of an allergy and also subbed water chestnuts for the celery (I was out and DD likes water chestnuts better than celery). The only other thing that I did different was to simmer the meat in the broth/soy sauce mixture for a while and added the cornstarch at the end. This made the meat really tender. Thanks for posting this loof! Made for Zaar Stars."
"Very easy and very good! I used broccoli, since I didn't have snow peas. It turned out great! Absolutely fantastic! Made for PRMR tag."
"Lovely, easy, and tasty! Made as posted except I did reduce the oil to 2 tablespoons, used fewer snow pea pods (about 1 cup), and added in a bit of broccoli. The sauce is not a sweet sauce which is fine with us. Also, I mixed the cornstarch and broth together first and then preceded through the recipe. All in all a very nice recipe, loof. Made for PRMR."
"We really enjoyed this! I made it exactly as written and it was just perfect. It tasted very much like a dish you'd get at an upscale oriental restaurant but much better. I used filet mignon instead of sirloin because that's what I had on hand. I also served it over buttered spaghetti because my little girl is not too crazy about rice. I wil definately be making this again. Thanks Loof. Made for 123 tag."
"A very simple and quick dish that is full of flavour. I used rump steak (sirloin is just much too expensive) and left out the tomato. The soft tenderness of the beef against the sweet crunch of the snow peas was just wonderful,a taste and texture sensation!.I should imagine that this would also be good with broccoli too. A lovely dish, that I will definately be cooking again...thanks Loof. Made for 1-2-3 Hits."
"Wow, What a great beef dish. I can't believe that it hadn't been tried yet. This dish was awesome. It was quick and easy to throw together. The meat was tender and the sauce was very tasty. All the textures and flavours blended well together, complimenting one another perfectly. I was out of snow peas and celery, so I substituted with sweet red pepper, which worked well in this dish. I can't wait to make this dish again, but with the missing vegetables. I know that it will be even tastier. Loof thanks so much for sharing this new family favorite."
