"I adapted this from a recipe I found on Google. They're the best oatmeal raisin cookies I've ever made, vegan or not."

"Great. I'm not vegan so I used regular butter and milk. I needed a recipe using turbinado sugar since thats all we had in the house."
"I just made these. I used all vegetable shortening instead of the vegan margarine. I thought the cookies came out a bit flat, but the taste was good. I may need to fiddle with this recipe to get it just to my liking."
"wow these where awesome. my daughter is allergic to eggs and dairy so finding things for her is a challenge. so far every vegan recipe has had a different texture or just tasted completely different than you would expect. however these where so moist and tasted just like the non vegan recipe i always use. Everyone in the house ate them without realizing they where vegan hehe. I did use the white/brown sugar mix and followed the recipe exactly. plus it made a TON of cookies. thnx so much for sharing this :)"
"Oh, my goodness! These were absolutely DELICIOUS! (My older brother, who is non-vegan and hates soymilk, tried them and loved them. But once I told him that they had some in them, he freaked out... =P) Rather than using the turbinado sugar, i used the alternative you gave --white and brown sugars mixed together (which was great because we weren't sure where to find turbinado!) Before I made these, I was worried that the variations that I used for each ingredient might make the cookies taste strange, so here is each of the variations I used: For the brown sugar, I used DARK brown. I used vanilla-flavoured Silk for the soymilk. WHITE flour. I also made a few of them with chopped walnuts, which were even better because they had a nice texture, and they added a little bit more protein. ;-)"
"Amazing cookies. I will be making these again and again. I added walnuts and used 1 cup reg sugar and 1 cup brown. Husband couldn't stop eating them. Thank you so much"
"Great cookie.. tasted just like my mom's non-vegan version."
"This recipe has quickly become one of my all-time favorites. I've made them twice and both batches turned out great. The first time I added about 1/2 cup of finely chopped walnuts, and the second time I used 3/4 cup each raisins and vegan chocolate chips, and 1/2 cup walnuts. I did a taste test with meat eaters and they could not tell they were vegan. Very yummy cookies! One note: this recipe makes a lot more than 36 cookies, at least the way I make them. It's possibly double that amount."
"Best oatmeal cookies I've ever had - vegan or not. I substituted vegan chocolate chips to feed my chocolate craving and they turned out great!"
"Fantastic recipe with ingredients that I have all the time! Taste so good no one will ever know they are vegan except for me! Thanks for posting!"
