"This recipe is not going to help me keep my girlish figure, but it is soooo delicious! You can adjust the ingredient amounts to your liking and make it your own. I've always wondered why my garlic cheese bread at home never tasted quite as good as it does at a restaurant. I think it's the mayonnaise and the freshly minced garlic."

"This topping looked SO good we tried it on Pork Chops last night. And they turned out GREAT!. We had 5 thin sliced pork chops, so I cut the recipe down a bit in quantity. I broiled them on both sides and then slathered the mixture on and broiled it till it was brown and bubbly. SO GOOD! We mixed a little cut up fresh spinach with the mixture and it really added something!"
"This was great. I substituted mozzarella for the parmesan and omitted the parsley because I don't like grass on my bread. The family very much enjoyed it. Thank you"
"Really, really liked this! We made quite a few adjustments though: maybe, ahem, 10 cloves of garlic (we really like garlic, you see...), probably less mayonnaise than called for (all that I had!), omitted the salt, added some olive oil to the mix itself, and spread this on top of 24 baguette slices so there was probably less per slice than intended - but this was still oh so good!! Thank you GinnyP!"
"Pretty good. The amount of stuff on top took my DH by surprise and he was initially put off by it but finally agreed that it wasn't too bad."
"I would rate this more than 5 if I could. I took this to a themed Superbowl party last year and people were calling me at work to get the recipe. thanks for posting"
"This bread was excellent. I made it to go with my chicken parmesan recipe and my husband and daughter said it was great. I will def be making this again - so easy and sooo good! Thank you for sharing."
"This was so good. Made it for company and everyone loved it. Will definately keep this one on hand. Thanks."
"I call this one California French Bread. It's basically the mayo and the parm (from a can) plus some green onions and thats it. Everyone eats TONS of it. It's not as good with any low fat mayo. Don't try low fat or fat free. YUMM"
"This recipe is great! Reduced the mayo to 1/2 cup though.I paired it with recipe #312651 and 4 of my friends finished the entire loaf together with the pasta! thanks!"
"Ginny, I really hate you for sharing this recipe!!! I am never going to be able to serve any other garlic bread as long as I live because of you now! Plus, our trim waistlines are a thing of the past now... Really, really decadant cheesy garlic bread... I only used half a loaf of French bread for the two of us, so I halved all the ingredients. At first, I thought the bread was going to get a little too crispy from broiling it first and then broiling it once again with the topping, but I was wrong. It turned out soft in the middle with a great crunch on the edges...with that oh so creamy topping... I am ashamed to admit we ate the whole half loaf before we even finished our pasta... I knew it was GREAT when my BF took one bite, turned to me and said "This is the most delicious bread you have ever made!"... so it really does live up to its name! Thanks so much for sharing!!!"
"Really great garlic bread! As well as a wonderful creamy taste the cooking method means the garlic doesn't burn and keeps a nice strong garlic flavor."
"This is very good but six cloves of garlic was very strong. Next time I'll try it with four and see how that tastes."
"I downsized this recipe to just a few slices of baguette to use as part of an appy platter. The ingredients are simple and blended well as a compliment to the toasted bread. Great recipe."
"My guests went nuts over this bread. Loved it! It is wonderfully rich and cheesy and a snap to make. Thanks. "
"Amazing! I love the mayo in this recipe. I use Helman's Light Mayo to reduce the calories."
"Fabulous! I made this to go with our alfredo dinner and it was so good. I love the mayo mixture, its so rich and creamy. Thank you for sharing this recipe with us."
"If I could give this recipe 10 stars, I would - my family loved this recipe - They too commented that it was the best garlic bread they had ever tasted. We loved this - I think the "real" mayo does the trick. I used fresh parsley and fresh garlic - what a fabulous taste! Thanks for sharing - this is my new garlic bread recipe!"
"WOW...this garlic cheese bread was absolutely amazing!! I made four loaves to bring to a party and they were the first thing gone! I saved one for me and my boyfriend for dinner that night and it was gone by the next day. He told me I should've saved another loaf for ourselves! I used cheddar cheese as well as parmesan and the taste was amazing. This recipe took very little time to prep and broil. It was also very easy! Thanks for such a great recipe. I will always be making my garlic cheese bread this way from now on."
"My mistake may have been using miracle whip, but this recipe just didn't work for me. I won't be trying it again."
"We really enjoyed this bread...but...I tried to do a Rachel Ray with the EVOO and "poured" it on the bread as I couldn't locate my pastry brush which would have controlled the amount of oil I used. Other than too much EVOO, the bread was delicious, quick to make, and exceptionally tasty. Thanks Ginny"
