"These brownies offer a small taste of heaven. You have to follow the directions, otherwise they won't be so heavenly."

"This, ladies and gentlemen, really is heaven in a pan. There's little I can say: followed the directions, baked at 160 C for 30 minutes, achieved nirvana. Stop reading this review right now and go make these. :-)"
"Oh, this brownies are to die for!! The only changes I made was just using 1/2 cup of sugar for the brownie batter and the whole box of cream cheese (250g) instead of 4 ounces.Besides these changes, I followed everything as directed. With that amount of cheese and the gooey, chocholatey brownies....oh....so yummy!!Each bite as you go thorough the crispy brownie top, then the tangy cheese centre..then the gooey chocholatey bottom....is just mind blowing!!I ate the brownies while watching desperate housewives on tv...Now, that dearie,is the way to die and experience heaven!!! Thank you for this "sinfull" brownie!! Love it sooo much!!"
"Brownies that don't get hard overnight! Doubled and made in a 9X13 pan. Had to cook for 40-45 minutes in the bigger pan or possibly also due to high altitude. Only other change was using peanut butter chips for the extra added chips because that's all I had left on hand."
"Can I give this 50 stars??? Even though I messed up the recipe and stirred the nuts into the brownie batter, the results were amazing. Best brownies I've ever had. Since I stirred in the nuts, I scattered some chocolate chips on the top. I could live on these!"
"Very tasty! They did take about an hour to cook, though."
"Okay - these are simply evil! Oh my! This beats our long standing family cream cheese brownie recipe and that would be very, very hard to do."
"Heaven is an understatement. Santa likes them too :D"
"I loved these. They were in a word... ORGASMIC!! I added 1 tsp chocolate extract to batter and forgot the baking powder....they were great anyways! Also added nuts to batter, they tasted better the second and third day! Yum!"
"I'm afraid this was only so-so for us. Good chocolatey flavor and a nice sort of crispy crust, but the inside was totally gooey and runny like it was uncooked. Tried cooking for 20 more minutes, and it was the same. Just not up our alley, I'm afraid. Thanks anyway!"
"These brownies were perfect. My family loved it."
"Incredible, wonderful, delicious brownies. I used semisweet chocolate, 1/2 cup chocolate chips was plenty. Baked for 33 min. The best. Thank You"
"These are awesome! Very rich and gooey but very good!! These are not for you if you're on a diet! LOL! Thanx Mirj!"
"These are amazing brownies. What more can I say, except that they are incredibly rich and have a perfect texture. Really, do everything Mirj says, follow the temperature indications for ingredients and beat everything just right and they are just beautiful to eat and look at. Thanks, Mirj--these were a hit at my departmental function this evening. People everywhere, swooning. "
"Mirj, these are wonderful! I used bittersweet chocolate. DH had some breakfast, lunch and suppertimes and inbetween. Being winter in RSA now, he loved them heated up with whipped cream and a sprinkling of cinnamon. 10/10 for you!"
"Oooooo these were fantastic! I used 1 cup of chocolate chips and 1/2 cup sugar. Delicious and sooo rich. "
"I don't know if half apan qualifies as a "small taste of heaven", but they were heavenly and addictive. Have made them 3 times, my family keeps stealing them from me!!! I used only 1/2 cup of sugar and 3 ounces of semisweet and 2 ounces of unsweetened chocolate. But followed the instructions to the letter otherwise. Thank you causing me not to fit into my jeans anymore."
"Very good. If you like intense, chocolatey, rich brownies, these are the ones for you. I used only 1T of sugar in the cream cheese part, because I like it a little on the sour side. I used mini chocolate chips, 'cause that's what I had on hand. Next time I'll bake them a little longer - mine browned around the edges, but were too underdone for me - personal preference, I guess. Will make again - thanks for such a good recipe."
"Well Mirg, this recipe almost caused a divorce, My wife who is on a diet and lost 52 pounds so far was attacked by the plate after I cooled them off!! It would not let go of her untill she ate the every peice like a mad women!! ( of course this was my fault )I think she trampled the cat trying to be the first one when it popped out of the oven.."
