"Throw Moroccan in the name of a recipe and I'll bite. And this time every morsel was delectable. I let mine cook for three hours on high and another three hours on low. If you have the option choose the longest possible cooking time as it allows for the fragrant sauce to develop - melting in the apricots and onions. I cut my carrots into sticks so that the would not become over cooked. Two small suggestions which make this simply sublime: I would cut the amount of tomato paste by 1 or 2 tablespoons, especially if you are using the shorter cooking times. At 4 hours, it still dominated the other flavors and only mellowed after additional cooking. My other change would be to change up the amount of dried fruit to 2/3 cup apricots and 1/3 cup raisins. The former do double duty as a component in the sauce as well as an item in the stew itself. Thank you for a wonderful recipe."
"This was phenomenal! The aroma when I returned home from work made the mouth water. My family does not like cous cous so I served with rice. I had to refrain from licking the plate! Next time, I'll add another onion and some more carrots. The onions virtually carmelize. Thanks so much for posting - this is definitely a keeper!"
"Oh man, this was delicious. I was especially delighted to have found such a tasty recipe that was a bit out of the norm. I served it with brown rice instead of couscous and the raisins were mixed with dried cranberries, since that's what I had at home. My only other comment is that I made this in my 3 qt. cooker with no problems, so you definitely don't need a 5-6 qt cooker to make it. Thanks for posting it! :)"

"A pleasing fuss free dinner that smells heavenly while it is cooking. I did have to make a few very minor changes to work with what I had on hand, first had to use 2 1/2 lb frozen whole legs (thigh attached) so increased the cook time by 2 hours which was perfect as it was falling off the bone tender. The other change was did not have enough couscous so had to serve over rice. We are looking forward to enjoying the leftovers for lunch. Thanks for the post."
"We really enjoyed this recipe, even my picky eaters liking it. I made it exactly as written, then removed the chicken and carrots to reduce the sauce. It was delicious served over couscous. I think next time I will double the tomato paste (back to the original amount) and dried fruit, plus add a green bell pepper. It took 5 hours in my crock pot, starting for 1 hr on high and then 4 hours on low. Thank you for a lovely dinner Annacia!"
"Made it tonight for the first time - delicious! I upped the ingredients for the sauce just a bit (e.g. added heaping teaspoons instead of flat, 4 garlic cloves instead of 2) and put the salt & pepper directly onto the chicken after I dropped it in. I also followed the suggestions to cook 3 hrs on high and 3 on low, and to add 3/4 (organic unsulfered) apricots to 1/4 raisins. Very glad I did that - I think the extra apricots really boosted the flavor."

"SO amazing! I came home after a long day and the incredible smell was filling the house. The combination of spices and fruit were perfect. Not spicy, not sweet. Just delicious! Chicken was so moist and was falling apart. Next time I might double the sauce, just because we loved it so much. The first night we had it over rice as the recipe suggested, but the second night we just ate it as a stew. Dare I say the second night's version was even better! Will definitely be making its way into my recipe rotation."

"I Recommend Game 2008 ~ I used (with permission from Annacia) boneless chicken breast in this as I thought a stew with large chicken pieces would be a bit messy. DH isn't too crazy about couscous so I may try this again with rice. Thanks Annacia!"
