"Recipe from a friend. Without instant pudding mix. Kid approved! Prep time does not include freezing time."
Serving Size: 1 (754 g)

"These are quite the yummy little treat! The only problem I had was I kept waiting for the ingredients to "thicken" as stated in the directions. Mine never really thickened even after 15 minutes of simmering. It would coat the back of a spoon but I was expecting it to be more like a pudding consistency just before it sets. No worries, I poured it into the popsicle molds and they turned out great. Thx for sharing your recipe."
"We loved these babies. Great chocolate flavors and such a refreshing treat when you want something quick when it's hot. I doubled the batch and made some up in ice cube trays too, so the kids could get them themselves and stick em in a bowl to have while watching TV. Thanks!"
"My kids love popsicles and fudgesicles so I am always looking for good recipes. I came across this one and had to try them. The kids thought they were great and didn't complain that they were "homemade". They are so much cheaper to make than buy, this is a great penny pincher! Have made often throughout the summer and will continue to make them. They are so easy to whip up! Thanks for sharing!"
"So easy and so delicious! Great to give as a gift with dry ingredients in mason jar, and pop molds."
"Absolutely delicious! This has become standard summer fare for my kids."
"This was to chocolately for my DH and me. This is a great idea for young kids."
"Delicious and so easy."
"the whole family loved these including my daughter who does not care for chocolate! My husband loved them so much I had to go out and get some more cocoa right away to make more!"
"Great! My sister loved them more than my mom and i did, so she doubled the recipe and made them when her friends came over, they loved them too =D. O and we used 1% milk, and light margarine, but still turned out rly good."
"The best!!! Made these w/ rice milk because my son cant have dairy. Soo good. My new summer treat."
"Yummy! I added a little extra sugar and a dash of salt to mine. My hubby asked if I would mix up a batch for him to drink! LMAO!"
"I made these for the kids and they really liked them. They are easy to make too. Thanks for the recipe."
"These are too good! Excellent fudginess factor. I added a pinch of salt, which you may not need if you are using salted butter. Also used more cocoa, which made them a little too dark and intense for my kids. Oh well, more for ME!"
"Sorry not to give a better review, but we really didn't care for these. The texture wasn't really like a regular fudgesicle. The outer part was a different texture than the inner part after freezing. I would call these more of a pudding pop than a fudgesicle. Thanks anyway :-)"
"These were such a hit with my family! I love how it uses things normally in my pantry and does not use the pudding mix. Makes a more fudgy popsicle in my opinion. I did follow the advice of Lorrie and sifted the dry ingredients to ensure no clumps and they turned out great! Thanks for sharing your recipe. I tagged it in 1.2.3. Hit Wonders. I'll be making these often through the summer for my kids and GS (and even for us 'older' kids! :D )"
"Wow! These are great! My daughter loves them. I like that I have everything needed to make them anytime. Great recipe! Thanks!"
"Made for Photo Tag 2008 The recipe itself just needs a lil TLC....I would suggest adding to the directions by saying to sift the dry ingredients first and also making sure to whisk while it is thickening up. Also there is a wee typo....it should read "1 teaspoon vanilla" Having said all that...it was quick simple and economical. Its a little people AND big people treat!"
"Oh my goodness...these are seriously TOO GOOD for kids! --altho' mine insisted on eating their share! :-) I followed the directions exactly as written (I may have added a bit more cocoa than called for). You CAN get a brain-freeze if you eat 'em too fast, but otherwise these are PERFECT fun and delicious, too."
