"This recipe produces tender beef tips and a delicious gravy. If you prefer, you can serve the beef tips over mashed potatoes instead of rice."
Serving Size: 1 (490 g)
Servings Per Recipe: 6
"We loved this. I didn't coat the steak with flour, I just threw it in the pan. I cooked it with the onions, peppers and garlic and then drained the broth. I then followed the rest of the recipe as written. I made rice and egg noodles as hubby doesn't like rice. I loved it with rice and everyone else liked it with egg noodles. I only cooked mine for thirty minutes and it was so tender. Will be making again."
"I made this for my Grandchildren, but added some of my own ingred. I added a very LARGE Tablespoon + of Chile sauce and 2 heaping Tablespoons of Mayo and some A-1 sauce to taste. The boys LOVED it over rice. Of course we are from Louisiana & Mississippi; anything with rice is good. But it is a great dish to feed to a large bunch of growing kids. It has lots of flavor that stays with them for a few hours. I am not a measurer of ingredients, so I just added what I thought it needed. I don't think you could over do anything in this dish."
"Made this for my husband. I used green and red peppers and added mushrooms. I left out the seasoned salt. I also added about 3 Tbs of sour cream to make a richer gravy. My husband said it was delicious; something that you'd get from a restaurant. The beef was nice and tender. I will certainly make this for him again."
"This was ok. I might try it again if I had stewing beef and wanted an alternative to making beef stew. This is a lot more work than beef stew though."
"This is by far the best beef tips and rice recipe I have ever had. It reminds me of my grandmothers beef tips and rice. I did put some fresh parsley in it and used low sodium soy sauce. It was even better the next day. Kudos to the chef!"
"Wow......so yummy! Fixed this for dinner and it was a hit! We will make this again! Thanks for the recipe! :-)"
"I have tried a lot of different beef tips recipes, and this is the first I've really enjoyed. I subbed half of the water for beef broth because I didn't have any seasoning salt, and didn't thicken the sauce out of personal preference, but made the same otherwise. Oh so good, definitely comfort food that I'm hanging onto! Thanks so much Kim D."
"I took the suggestion to also add mushrooms, other than that followed the recipe. We really enjoyed this, DH had two servings, it had great flavor. Even better the next day. I served it over rice."
"I threw in some mushrooms and we were chowing down in no time. Very good din din! Dave"
"Kim, these tips are TOPS! Wife and I looking for a quick, tasty dish and found it here. Thanks for sharing-- it will be on our repeat list for sure."
"Very good. I loved it. My husband thought it was okay but then again, beef tips are not his thing. I think next time I would season the flour before tossing with the beef. Great recipe!"
"This made quite a lot and was really good. I didn't use the soy sauce because our family doesn't like it, but even without it, it was very good."
"YUM! We enjoyed this recipe. Tips were very tender and the flavor was wonderful. I added some freshly sliced mushrooms after making the gravy part. I did had alittle whipping cream to the gravy to make a richer flavor. I served this over Recipe #259339 Was a delicious dinner :) Thanks for sharing the recipe!"
