"Wanted to have a recipe that tasted just like Olive Garden's dish that I could use at home."
Serving Size: 1 (268 g)
Servings Per Recipe: 2
"This was so easy and loved by my son and husband. My son is a very picky eater and he asked me to not forget how to make this one!!! Thanks!"
"This was always my favorite dish at Olive Garden. Frankly the only dish worth eating there. I don't think it's on the menu anymore. Needless to say wen I found this I was amazed at how easy it looked and was skeptical that it would be any good especially the chicken. Well the chicken was great. Of course I butterflies the thick breasts we had on hand and probably could have pounded them out a bit for even faster cooking but I didn't. My dish came out only fair, mostly because I was doing it for the first time. Next time it will come out awesome since I know what I did wrong hence the five stars."
"This is a good recipe but having never tried OG's version, I can't tell how close it is to the original. I added grated parmesan to the finished product, which made the dish stand out and give it the extra oomph the recipe needed."
"I made this for my mom's birthday (quadruple batch) and everyone devoured it! I followed the recipe exactly as stated. I did mix the pasta right in with the sauce and chicken, however, instead of pouring it over as stated. Everyone went back for seconds and there was maybe two servings of leftovers. Excellent recipe!!"
"I made this recipe exactly as insructed. My four year old liked it. My dh and i both wished it had more flavor and more sauce."
"Thanks for the Recipe. Did'nt OG use red & green onion?? Hence the flavor profile varince some have posted. This was one of my favorite OG dishes as well. Thanks again!"
"We have never tried Olive Garden's version, but we thought this was great! My husband is looking forward to me making this one again!!!"
"Excellent and a favorite."
"This recipe is awesome. I used chicken breat tenderloins. I also used 3 cloves of fresh minced garlic. This was AWESOME! Olive Garden has taken this dish off their menu & I have missed it. Missing it no longer!"
"Family has been a huge fan of this dish at Olive Garden but this recipe was not quite the same. I'll definately keep looking!"
"I made a few modifications and it was practically identical to OG's if not better. I pounded the chicken thin and sliced into 3-4 strips. Used 3 cloves of garlic and added it slightly before the wine to pronounce the flavor and generously salted the pasta water. I suggest "Fre" Dealcoholized Chardonnay for families with young children. FANTASTICO!"
"This was pretty good but a little bland. I added a ton of salt and pepper and it made it much better. Next time I think I will dice the chicken and serve the mixture over a smaller pasta like penne and add some artichokes. But overall it was very tasty and DH and I enjoyed it very much. Thanks!"
"I made this last night and even my 6 year old loved it. It really does taste the same as the Olive Garden's. Thanks!"
"Olive garden has posted the recipe for this on their web site. Just recently, Jan 21, 2006"
"this was really good according to my dinner guests. i thought it was good too until i saw how many calories/serving then i had to reconsider. definitely have to figure out how to make this one lower calorie but save the regular version for guests. thanks for the recipe."
"OH MY GOSH! This is what my husband and I ALWAYS get at Olive Garden, and it is yummy! I made it last night, and I doubled everything except the chicken and it was PERFECT! I also add butter and garlic salt to the noodles as soon as i drain them so they don't stick together and it gives them a little flavor... I am telling you, I will NEVER get this at Olive Garden again, because I can make it at home. This has got to be the best recipe I have found on thsi site yet!!!!"
"I made this the other night and, unfortunately, I was not as enthused as the other reviewers. I did everything that the recipe said (including using Bella Sera Pinot Grigio) and it didn't make any kind of a sauce for the linguine noodles. The idea was great and the smell from the wine was wonderful, but the chicken took so long to cook that the onion and garlic ended up almost burning. I will try this again but probably do some things different...such as doubling the wine, cooking the chicken until it's done and THEN adding the onion, etc. to cook in the wine and just top the chicken with the mixture before serving. I was pretty disappointed, but maybe it was just a bad cooking day for me."
"Boy is this an outstanding meal. Everyone loved it.I made it exactly as written and will be making it regularly."
"This was divine!!! Thank you so much for such a simple delicious meal, can't say enough about this it's a definite keeper."
