"I came across this at Epicurious and fell in love, and its been elsewhere. Years of looking for the lemon pasta I remembered as a child, and finally found it. Tweaked it a little to my own taste, replacing parsley with fresh basil and using linguine. If you don't have tender asparagus, the europes best frozen ones are far better than woody fresh ones. Do NOT substitute lighter creams, it just does not work that well."

"Wonderfully delicious - this dish made a lovely dinner and would be perfect for any special occasion! The flavors are really delicious -- loved the lemon and parmesan - added a bit extra of both. Next time, I may add a little twist to this dish by adding a few grilled shrimp on top - YUM! Can't wait to have this dish again! Made for Everyday is a Holiday tag, February, 2012."
"Just delicious. I keep coming back to this recipe. As others have said, I just add the asparagus to the pasta 3 mins before the end of its cooking time rather than cooking it before and it works perfectly. Thanks very much for posting this here."
"Whats not to love in this recipe! Honestly every single ingredient is delicious and plays so very well with everything else. This is my first asparagus of this year and this was a grand way to enjoy it. The lemon touch is perfection. Also I took the tip from other reviewers and added the asparagus to the pasta shortly before it was ready. Quite easy and very yummy."
"Really good! Will make again. I didn't use the lemon zest b/c my family doesn't like a lot of lemon and added a little extra butter. Perfect!"
"Amazing! I served this as a side dish to grilled chicken breasts. Made about 10 servings as a side. I used bow-tie pasta to make serving easier and precooked the asparagus in the microwave. Lots of rave reviews from family members."
"Loved, loved, loved this. Everything about it was perfect. Wish it wasn't so bad for you so we could have it often ;)"
"I am trying this out tonight!!...Except I may use lime instead of lemon, and also I made my own version of the sauce...I made a homemade salsa blanca with flour, butter, milk and nutmeg. We'll see how it turns out, i cant wait because it looks delicious! <br/>Also using spaghetti instead of linguini"
"Made this for dinner; Very delicious with just the right amount of tang and savoriness in the sauce, and the basil and asparagus were refreshing to the palate. Used spaghetti instead since I didn't have linguine in hand, but even halving the ingredients made for a substantial meal for a few people."
"Made for a lovely dinner, served with a green side salad. :)"
"Wow, this was amazing. My housemates and I really enjoyed it and i've been asked to save it to my favourites."
"Oh my...this dish is every bit as good as the reviews indicate. I sauteed the asparagus in the butter- otherwise did not change a thing. This dish is decadent and delightful - can't wait to make it again. thank you so much for sharing."
"Having been born with a plastic spoon in my mouth, this gentrified dish is heaven. Made for Everyday Is A Holiday."
"This recipe was perfect, creamy, lemony. I served with salmon last week and I am making again with shrimp. I did use penne instead as I like my pasta shape to be similar to the other things I am adding."
"I knew my family was going to love this when I read all the ingredients. It was DELICIOUS!! Thank you so much for posting this recipe Marra, and I will defiantly make this again. Made for Everyday Is A Holiday Tag Game."
"This was a great pasta dish. I was in the mood for something light, so I made it for a quick dinner after a busy day. Those making this dish should not skimp on the lemon juice nor parmesan cheese though, as they really make this dish come together. Thanks, MarraMamba. Made for "Please Review My Recipe" tag game."
"I'm have mixed feelings about this dish. Maybe I did something wrong, however I added everything you said. Maybe my palate is used to more intense flavors. I too sauted the asparagus in the butter instead of steaming, used whole wheat linguine, went back to the parsley, and even added 14 oz of shrimp. My bf liked it so much he had seconds. I on the other hand needed and extra squirt of lemon, salt, and fresh cracked pepper. It was good, but not goooood. Let's just say this is not something I myself would crave. But thank you for helping me broaden my horizons."
"This was super yummy and the kids just loved it, too. My teenage daughter just about hurt herself trying to shove great fork-fulls down her throat! It was so funny. I finally had to ask her to remember her manners. (; Thanks for posting, MarraMamba. Made for "Everyday Is A Holiday"."
"This has great flavor. I stir fried the asparagus in the butter and added a bit of crushed red pepper over the whole thing. I didn't think it needed any salt, so I left it out. Thanks for sharing."
"Delightful!! I absolutely LOVE anything with lemons, and asparagus has to be one of my favorite veggies! This dish does NOT disappoint! I made as directed, other than maybe a touch of garlic nad black pepper to my portion (my tastes), it is perfect AS IS! This is a keeper I will make again!"
"This was GOOD!!!! Used dried lemon zest instead of the fresh (1 T) and switched the basil back to parsley. Everyone loved it. While Parmesan was offered most preferred it without. The lemon flavor was incredible."
