"Last year for our Super Bowl party I made a large crock pot full of these apples. I thought I would have a lot of leftovers but the crock pot was empty and scraped clean! Everyone loved them. I have made them since with less butter and less sugar and they are still wonderful. Thank you for sharing this recipe!"
"They came out watery. The "sauce" never did thicken."
"This was so good. Since there was only 5 1/2 of us I only used 4 apples, bug mistake. I told everyone it was terrible so there was more for me. This is so easy & tasty, my mom said it was like apple pie without the crust."
"This was recommended to me by Deb G. I am so glad, cause these were so yummy. They didn't last long, and next time I will double the recipe, cause it doesn't make enough for us. I ate mine hot out of the crock pot plain, my son added lots of whipped cream. Smelled wonderful while cooking too. Thank you."
"My family loves these apples! They are truly delicious. And so easy! Some of us eat them by themselves while others prefer with pound cake or with ice cream. Note: I used apples that a co-worker gave us, and I have no idea what kind they were, but they were not granny smith! I don't know how much difference that makes. I also doubled the other ingredients because I had more than 6 apples I wanted to use, and we loved the resulting generous amount of sauce. As always with a crock pot, be careful not to overcook or the result will be more of a mushy/applesauce texture---but still tasty."
