No Bake Cookies

About This Recipe
"These were one of my dad's favorite recipes. My grandma used to make them for her kids and dad made them for us. I use them to get a certain friend to come and visit by offering some fresh no-bakes. I love them, but they're absolutely impossible to eat without milk."
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/3 cup cocoa
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups oatmeal
Directions
- Combine first four ingredients in saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook for about 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter, vanilla and oatmeal.
- Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet covered with wax paper. Let cool.
- I usually do a double recipe and, more often than not, they don't last more than two days.

"These are something I learned to make in high school home ec. Thanx so much for the trip down memory lane! I only had fat free milk and I wasn't sure how that would affect the cookie, so I replaced half the milk with liquid coffee creamer and they are still one great (and easy!) cookie.
