"I was so glad my guests saw me make this, they never would have believed that I did it myself. I started with 3 cups of flour and then added more as I kneaded it"
"mmmm... made it again! yummy!"
"This was very easy to make because the directions were so easy to follow. I wished I double the serving size because the whole family really enjoyed it and wanted more. I served the Naan Bread with http://www.food.com/recipe/indian-butter-chicken-86753 and a tomato salad. We had a perfect dinner. Thanks Aaliyah&Aaron's mum for sharing a wonderful recipe."
"I've tried making this twice and my husband and I do not like it. It tastes like pretzel dough and is nothing like the naan at our favorite restaurant."
"Great Naan, and I can't believe I made it myself! I started with 3 cups of flour (thanks swiz58 for the tip!), and added more as I needed. The dough is stickier/milkier than I'm used to but it was cool to learn about a new kind of bread. I did skip brushing them with butter because I had a loud and crazy toddler in the wings, but I will definitely ad the butter next time as it makes a naan truly a naan! Thanks for the great recipe!"
"Wow I will definately be making this recipe over and over again! The only worry I had when making it was whether it would be enough to fill three very hungry people - but alongside being delicious, it was very filling also! I now know how to make great naan bread - thank you very much aaliyah&aarons mum!"
"This was a really easy and tasty recipe. I put my oven on 450 and used my pizza stone. We'll be having this again and again."
"First time I had ever made naan and turned out wonderful. I made them and wished I had a Indian meal to eat them with! Very good recipe, simple and straight forward. The only thing I changed was I put my oven on 425F instead of the highest it would go (I am a little afraid of what my oven would do at that temp, its a little unpredictable!) lol Because of that I cooked them for about 3-5 min on each side. They turned out so well the flavor was great and the bread was soft and had lots of bubbles and pockets. Thanks Aaliyah and Aaron's Mum!"
"Deserves 10 stars! Easy, fabulous, versatile. I sprinkled salt on top before baking them and it was great. Brought up the idea that you could add garlic, italian seasoning, grill seasoning, all kinds of things to go with all kinds of cuisines. I will be making this bread again and again, my husband went crazy over it:) Thanks so much!"
"I made this to go with Recipe #206608. I didn't weigh out the flour and had to add more so I could knead it. I baked it on my pre-heated pizza stone and it worked out great. It has wonderful flavor and went great with the chicken Makhani."
"Tried this tonight, my husband and I fried them instead of baking them, thinking this would help for more flavor since we don't own a true Indian oven. The flavor was a bit off, might have been our fault from the frying. Reminded me of a thick tortilla. Served our purpose for eating with the leftover lamb, but will try another recipe next time."
"Excellent! Thanks for posting! I used whole wheat flour and they turned out nicely."
"Better than any naan I have tasted anywhere! and easy too."
"This recipe was very good - we enjoyed it with tandoori-style chicken. However, rather than baking, we cooked it on the grill before grilling the chicken, which worked well for us. Since there are only two of us, we wrapped the leftovers in plastic wrap, then foil, and froze them for the next time, and they were still very good. Thanks."
"Delicous!! I had to add a bit of extra flour, but it turned out great! The dough was so beautifully soft and the bread was better than any I've ever had! This is going in permanent rotation in my home. I'm kind of a bread freak. :-)"
"Great naan! I added garlic to make it garlic naan. I also used my bread machine to make the dough. I did weigh my flour, and it was somewhere between 3 and 3.5 cups. This made enough for 4 people for us. Yummy!"
"Amazing, THIS will be my naan recipe forever. I used a pizza stone in my blazing hot oven to get the authentic toasty brown spots and turned them with lonnnng grill tongs to preserve my face!!!"
"The naan I made turned out great looking. I used a skillet because I hate my oven. My roommate came home and said - it even looks right! But it did not have much flavor. Next time I will add garlic before cooking."
"This was a fantastic naan recipe. The taste was perfect. I added a handful of gratd cheese and a 1/2 tablespoon of garlic before seperating into individual balls for extra taste. Once I'd flattened them out, I brushed them with garlic butter. YUM! Thanks for the great recipe!"
"I am a great fan of Madhur Jaffrey and this was an excellent Naan bread recipe. I cheated and started the dough off in my bread maker, as I was busy in the kitchen doing other things - and then finished them off by hand. I cooked them and then re-heated them in the toaster for the evening meal = a great time saving solution! Excellent Naan bread that I WILL be making again! Thanks AandA's Mum! FT:-)"
