"Homey and old-fashioned, this comforting dish can be on the table in a flash, thanks to store-bought rotisserie chicken and biscuits made with self-rising flour. This is a modernized version of the recipe that was home cookin' to my Texas family."

"What a wonderful recipe! I didn't have any left over chicken so I just cooked up some chicken theigh strips with some spicy seasoning (we like spice!) and since I had some leftover biscuits from the morning, used those instead. Still came out amazing! The gravy is perfect in this recipe!"
"This is a great comfort meal. It had great flavor. Thumbs up from the entire family."
"This is a wonderful chicken and biscuits recipe. The only thing I changed was to make drop biscuits instead of rolling them out. Thanks for posting this delicious recipe."
"This was a home run right out of the park! Went exactly by your recipe and it could not have been better. First 'scratch' biscuits I've ever made and they were actually pretty good. Thanks, Annacia."
"Oh this was soooo good!!!!! Such comfort food!!! I doubled the gravy part, cuz my DH is a gravy-aholic! I also used vegetable broth and dried thyme cuz that's what I had on hand. Also left out the lemon juice, but will try it next time!!! I also would double the biscuits cuz my kids were asking for more! (Oh, I think a little less time for baking the biscuits, cuz they were a little over done.) Thanks Annacia!"
"I definitely appreciate that a person can make this dish with little effort! Nevertheless, I took the long route & REALLY ENJOYED putting it all together from scratch [I keep a big container of that stuff on hand at all times!] However, since I don't have self-rising flour on hand, I made my own & started from there! I did use baked chicken breasts [another time I want to use a purchased OR BBQed rotisserie chicken, for its flavor!]. We were all very happy with the results, & 4 of us devoured the entire thing! It DID bring back memories ~ Many thanks for sharing this recipe!"
