"I found this in Bernard Clayton's Cooking Across America. I've had this cookbook for years and it's the first thing I've made from it! The original name of the dish is "Pasta Prima Peschke", named for a chef on a ranch in Wyoming who made it up, but that's not very descriptive, so I changed it. I also changed some of the amounts - I only used half of the butter and bacon and chicken called for in the original and it was plenty."

"Great reciepe. My favorite chicken Pasta receipe so far. I mix the chicken, mushrooms and garlic with the sauce and then add to the noodles (I used penne). Then I topped it off with mozzarella and put in the oven at 350 for 15 to 20 mins or untill the cheese is slightly brown. I haven't have bacon to add yet but I am sure that would make it even better!"
"Tasty but the sauce didn't quite come together. But I didn't have as much cheese as listed, so maybe that was the problem."
"I only made the sauce and unfortunately my husband and I thought it was bland. It looks great as a recipe but somehow it did not fit what we were looking for in a cheese cream sauce. Thanks for posting, it definitely looked and sounded great!"
"DH gave this an mmmmmmm, delicious, and YUM, between bites. I made this for 2 servings, using turkey bacon, and tofu noodles. I also used non-fat sour cream, and low fat cheese. While I cooked the chicken, bacon, and mushrooms, I put the sauce ingredients in a ramekin in a 300 deg. oven, stirring occasionally. It melted up nicely and was ready to mix right into the noodles when all was done. Thanks pattikay, this is a keeper!"
"This was awesome!!!!! My son has become a huge pasta lover, and when looking for your recipes to tag, I read the ingredients for this one to him, he said "Oh make that one Mom" Well needless to say this was a huge hit for him, but also for myself and his friend who ate over. I served this with garlic bread and green beans. The only thing I would do different next time, and this will be made again, would be to use only half of the pasta and I would use leftover cooked chicken breasts, as a time saver. Thanks for a great recipe pattikay!!!"
"I recently made this, but I did not have the bacon or the garlic in the fridge. To compensate, I used garlic powder to sprinkle on the chicken, and bacon bits. Lets just say that the garlic powder was fine, but the bacon bits not so much. Still turned out good, but next time I will try to use the real ingredients! Thanks"
