"These are really yummy cookies! Lots of chips, and a hint of banana flavor in a tender oatmeal cookie. My kids all loved these, and they often reject whole wheat in their cookies. A great thing to do with leftover bananas which I'm always trying to get rid of. In typical cookie fashion, I mixed the butter, then creamed with the sugars. Added eggs, vanilla, and bananas. Mixed in a combination of flour, soda, and salt, then stirred in oats and chips. These don't spread a great deal, so I'd suggest flattening out a bit with the back of a spoon before baking. I'll make these again. Thanks for sharing the recipe!"
"I always look forward to any cookie recipe that uses whole wheat flour. This one unfortunately is not one I would recommend. I found it to be flat in taste...no "wow this is a good cookie" response from anyone. It did have a nice texture and held it's shape well, but for flavor it was BLAH"
"Delicious cookies. Love the banana flavor with the chocolate. I subbed chocolate chips for the peanut butter chips and sugar for the brown sugar."
"Love them!! Used 2 cups of butterscotch chips (as that is what I had & prefer for banana). Used quick oats (didn't have old fashion). These are super moist & soo good! Will definitely make these again!! Hopefully they will last long enough for my hubby to try them tomorrow night!"
"I'm actually amazed these worked as I made a right mess of the quantities but.....they came out really really well. They aren't too sweet, the flavours are subtle, they aren't crumbly but nice and soft! What a good way to start this Advents baking!"
"Mm! tasty!! i had a bunch of partial bags of chocolate chips left so i used 2 cups worth of a mix of dark chocolate, semisweet, and butterscotch. i ground up the oats because my family doesn't like the oatmealy texture. also, i didn't have quite enough oats, so i made up the difference with walnuts powdered in the food processor with the oats. they turned out fantastic! soft and moist, but not at all squishy. thanks!!"
