"I loved my grandmother's blackberry cobbler. Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to get her recipe. This is a recipe I got from Southern Living Magazine and modified to my taste. It is wonderful!"

"Perfect! We picked fresh blackberries and I had so many I thought I would try a cobbler for the first time. The recipe was exactly what I needed: fast, easy, basic ingredients. I also used stars (for a birthday party) and it turned out fabulous! Posted 2 pics. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!"
"Loved it! Simply great with a scoop of Blue Bell Vanilla Ice Cream. <br/>Would double next time. Made small 8x8" as written."
"Perfect! I doubled the recipe and it was divine!"
"I love this recipe! Someone gave me the blackberries, which spurred my search and I found it. With Southern relatives galore, you'd have thought I would know how to make it, but I did not. Thank you for such an easy and delectable treat!"
"Super!! I used my own crust recipe. We loved it. Thanks for sharing. I will make it again, maybe using other fruits. edit...here it its, July 11, 2010 and this is still my favorite blackberry cobbler recipe, thanks again!!"
"Wow this was my first cobbler ever making and it will not be the last. The only thing I did different is I made my own pie crust and the flavor of this was AWESOME thanks for sharing. My family Loved it Susie :)"
"Great recipe! We had picked wild berries along the side of the highway and used this recipe to cook them up. Couldn't have been happier with it. I took the advice of others and used star shapes on the top crust, it was a big hit for the 4th of July."
"We absolutely loved this cobbler! My husband said it is on his top 3 list. I agree!"
"this is the easiest dessert i've ever baked! and sooooooo delicious. before i poured the batter into the dish i took a little taste and omigosh, it was soooo yummy! i baked this in an 8x8 pyrex baking dish for 25 minutes. this is my new 'it recipe'. : D and i'll certainly bake this again for company! i didn't have refrigerated pie crust, so i did a little searching and halved the recipe from the land o'lakes website: combine 1 cup all-purpose flour and 1/8 tsp salt. cut in 1/3 cup cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. add 4 to 5 tbsp cold water and mix until dough is formed. i cut star shapes with different sized cookie and fondant cutters. beautiful! thanks for sharing this recipe, i have fallen in love with blackberries!"
"This is a wonderful and easy recipe. Since finding it we've made it twice in a week and my daughter uses cookie cutters to make shapes for the dough."
"This is a delicious recipe. We have a mulberry tree in our yard, so I used those instead of blackberries! Thanks for sharing this recipe!"
"Are you kidding me? THIS IS AWESOME!! Only thing I changed was fresh blackberries rather than frozen. YUM ......if bears knew about this we'd be in trouble!"
"I used crescent rolls in place of the pie crust- not that good. Just a heads up in case someone thought to do this- the crust would have been perfect."
"I have been picking Blackberry's this season, and I wanted to find a good blackberry cobbler to enjoy with Vanilla Ice Cream. And this one was not just a good cobbler, this was a great cobbler. Easy to make for an inexperienced person trying to put together a blackberry cobbler. Thanks for sharing."
"I am pregnant and craving just the right berry cobbler, after trying several this one was the winner, easy enough for my toddler to help me with too! yummmmmm"
"I loved this cobbler. My hubby is the type that wants things made like his mom did, and can be hard to please. With this cobbler he loved it and I didn't have to get the recipe from his mom."
"wonderful just as posted.... doubled the batch in a larger pan because I anticipated everyone wanting more and a good thing I did. Thanx for posting"
"Made this cobbler or my family using Splenda and my own crust. Also brushed the top with melted butter instead of the egg wash about 5 minutes before it was done baking and it turned out GORGEOUS! Tasted great too! Thanks so much for sharing your recipe."
"I am so glad I found this recipe! Dad picked a huge bowl of blackberries from his backyard for DH because he knows blackberry cobbler is DH's absolute favorite dessert. Wonderful... except then I had to come through by turning those berries into a cobbler worthy of them. No pressure, right? Well, this cobbler did the trick and was easy enough for even me! These berries are sweet, not very tart at all, so I cut the sugar to 3/4 cup and could easily have gone down to 1/2 cup. Baked for 25 minutes in an 8" square Pyrex dish. DH said this is a cobbler dreams are made of. LOL I think that equals at least 5 stars."
"Delicious and easy. I especially enjoyed it with light vanilla ice cream. I did only have to bake it 30 minutes and it was a little hard around the edges so next time it'll be about 25 minutes (13X9 pan). Will make often! Highly recommended!!"
