"This was a delightful switch from my normal bbq sauce. The flavor is a bit different, but different in a great way. The leftover sauce can be stored in the fridge to use later. Shock your friends and let them try to guess that "secret ingredient"!"

"I did not care for this recipe very much. The Vinegar and mustard totally took over the sauce.I was Looking for a more root beer flavor. The next time i make this recipe i will try deleting either the vinegar or the mustard"
"Great and very vinegar-y and sweet! I made it for a bbq while camping and everybody just loved it! It's definitely more liquid-y than I thought, but the taste is great."
"I made this last night and it was wonderful! I don't think I'll use any other recipe. The only change I made was to use salted butter b/c I didn't have unsalted. Thanks for posting this recipe!!"
"I am making this right now. LOVING IT!
Made a couple of adjustments on the recipe, nothing major. Cut back on the vinegar.
Hoping to thicken it up a bit though. Might add a little tomato paste for that.
Well done! :)"
"Ok so initally I was a little scared by the first ingredient but WOW was I ever wrong! This cooked up great and it was super easy. I halved the recipe because this makes quite a lot of sauce. Will make this all the time for the BBQ season - thank you so much for posting this awesome recipe!"
"Hi, I made this today. We had chicken salad today but as it said it can be stored in the fridge. I did however put some on a piece of french bread and it tasted great. I had root beer. (then again I would). My brothers own 3 A &W restaurants. The only change I made was to reduce the salt to 1/4 tsp."
"This was a fun BBQ sauce to try! If I hadn't known the "secret ingredient", I never would have guessed root beer! This is a very rich sauce with lots of flavor, just a touch sweet, but more so tangy. If you like a more vinegar-based BBQ sauce, this is a fun one! I enjoyed it much, and my kids had fun "cooking" root beer! We love you, Amy!"
