"Easy, Yummy potatoes that are great to warm you up on a cold fall morning!"
Serving Size: 1 (179 g)
Servings Per Recipe: 2
"Making great country-style potatoes has always eluded me. Still, I plugged on, thinking one day I'd find the recipe that would work for me. THIS one is "it"; the potatoes turned out magnificent and we were fighting over the last scraps from the pan. I think the two secrets are the addition of water and using the seasoned salt. I had no Lawry's on hand so I used this recipe to make it: Recipe #328540 . Thanks SO much for sharing this recipe; it will be our classic breakfast potato recipe from now on!!!"
"These potatoes are good for any meal not just breakfast! I've used this recipe for years and use russet potatoes as I don't keep the red ones on hand. Sometimes I add a little bacon grease when frying. Yum! Seems like I got my original recipe from a recipe book featuring country singers. Thanks for sharing."
"These turned out really well. Crispy and the water at end make them tender."
"Very good. I didn't peel the potatoes as we like it with the skin on. Thanks!!!"
"The only reason I tried this recipe was because everyone gave it 5 stars. The pessimist I am, it made me very curious how something can be that delicious using so few ingredients. So glad I was proven wrong because these were the best breakfast potatoes I've ever tasted. The only thing I did differently was keep the skin on (mostly out of laziness but I do like red potatoes with the skin...) and I made 5 potatoes instead of 2. Very happy with that decision because between me and my husband, the pan was scraped clean. The seasoning salt is definitely the magic ingredient."
"These were delicious! We all loved them. Thanks so much for the recipe."
"Delicious! I'm pregnant and have been craving country potatoes. This recipe was PERFECT! Instead of red, I used regular potatoes and I also used a little extra oil so I ended up not having to add water. These turned out so great! DH couldn't stop ranting and raving about them! Yum!"
"So easy and so delicious!"
"Great potatoes. I served it with scrambled eggs, and ham. Very filling breakfast."
"yum! i double the recipe and added garlic powder to suit my tastes. love how easy they are! will use the leftovers on breakfast burritos tomorrow!"
"So simple yet full of flavor, I also left out the water and just covered and simmered for about 10 minutes. I also think the seasoning salt is the key to making this so good. These would be a good side to any meal. Thanks!"
"These breakfast potatoes were wonderful. I didn't use any water, just used a lid over the skillet and it steamed the potatoes to tender (about 15 minutes). I also doubled the recipe cause we love potatoes and I was afraid it wasn't enough for Dh and I. Thanks for sharing the recipe!"
"These were okay. Maybe I used too much water or something but they were a little softer than what I usually prefer fried potatoes to be. Next time I'll use less"
"These were absolutely delicious! Thanks for posting this simple but wonderful recipe. I have tried to make these in the past but they never turned out this good. The seasoned salt is the key to making these so good."
"Thank you so much for this recipe! I never knew how to do fried potatoes the right way, and this is it.! Very tasty."
