"I've made this several times using the instant sugar free pudding mix. I mix the pudding and jello mixes together, slowling adding the water and it turns out perfect. No lumps at all."

"I love 'anything' lemon so I was excited when I discovered this recipe. The 2 points made it very enticing too. Oh, how I would have loved to have given it 5 stars....if only it wasn't for the bitter aftertaste and the consistency.....which was more like a 'very thick' jello rather than a creamy lemon pie filling. BUT, that's not to say I won't be making it again. Once I topped it with Cool Whip the sweetness got rid of most of the bitterness leaving just enough lemony tartness, making it taste like lemon meringue pie. Now to figure out what I can do to make it creamier. I'm wondering if I used, perhaps, two packages of pudding if that would do it. It's certainly worth a try. Thanks for sharing the recipe Marie. I will be making it again, with a bit of experimenting."

"The recipe didn't state that this was not an instant pudding mix. You must use the cook and serve pudding. I made cherry flavor and waited for the mixture to cool and added an 8 oz container of sugar free cool whip to give the mixture a fluff texture. The options are endless with this recipe. Will make again with more flavors and will change my rating to 5 stars one the recipe is correct. It's 5 star with the cook and serve and the added container of cool whip. MMMM"

"i always had trouble with the pudding getting lumpy when i added it to the water. i finally realized that if you add the water to the pudding mix a little at a time and mix as you go, it doesn't get lumpy - you can bring it to a boil and don't have to try to break up all of those disgusting lumps as it cooks. i love to experiment with other flavors - i believe vanilla pudding is best but almost any flavor jello is good."

"I hate to say I didn't like it, I really really wanted too, and the idea of lemon meringue filling had me drooling LOL I also thought it was awefully bitter, I used jello brand and everything! I also didnt make it as directed now that I am looking at the recipe so I will try it again the correct way. I made up the jello and then made up the pudding and mixed them together. I think some cool whip would have really helped lighten it up and make it more tasty, maybe it was just to much sweetner?"
"Made as directed, this was ok ... there was a pretty strong aftertaste of the sugar free lemon gelatin. BUT , I'm going to make it again , and maybe use half the amount of the gelatin , and see if that's more to our personal taste~ If it is , I will repost with 5 stars because you can't get much more calorie friendly for a sweet than this!!!!!! "This was really, really good! I was looking through the newly posted pictures and this was there, and I just had to try it! It's good! I have used strawberry jell-o the most, as that is my favorite, and one time we even used chocolate pudding with the strawberry jello. It didn't look too appetizing, but tasted good (the dark reddish-brwon didn't look great). Sometimes I spoon out the fat-free cool whip into small cups, then refreeze it, and then after the jello has cooled, pour it into the cool whip lined cups. Thanks for a yummy treat!"
