"This recipe was shared with me by a DF when she brought it to one of our Lady Elks Pot Luck Dinners when I lived in Nevada City, CA. All though there is another recipe for a bread pudding with Jack Daniel's sauce it is NOT the same, and this is the recipe my family requests on many of our get togethers. This makes 2 large pans of pudding, and can be halved, or freeze one for later."
Serving Size: 1 (141 g)
Servings Per Recipe: 48
"I can't believe I have stumbled across this. I used to make this all the time but lost the recipe years ago and quite frankly forgot all about it, until today that is!! I am feeling very Fall-ish today and will be making this tonight for sure!! This is by far the best bread pudding recipe I have ever had!! If making for a Holiday or something special, go ahead and make the full fat version, but if just making this for yourself and want to watch calories, it tastes perfectly fine when using low fat ingredients. Less rich, but that is ok because this is so very rich to begin with."
"Since there are only two of us, I made half of this recipe. Probably should've made the whole thing, the way it's disappeaing!lol I don't use whole milk, so I used fat free half and half, and was it ever rich!! It's sinfully delicious and is, as another rater said, worth 10 stars. The sauce is so wonderful! I know I'll be making this many more times and each time, I'll be thinking of you, my friend. Wonderful recipe ChaCha, thanks for posting! Made for Chef's Pick at one of the forums at KK."
"really this recipe deserves more than 5 stars, the sauce alone deserves a 10 star rating all itself and I plan on using the sauce for many more recipes I could have just eaten it all on a spoon! please try this recipe you will not be dissaponted, thank you Char for this great bread pudding recipe I will make many time over, made for KK's CP game"
"OMG! This is such an indulgence! We really enjoyed the combination of flavors & textures in this pudding. And the sauce? TDF good! I used the Zaar calculator to cut the recipe down to 12 servings & used an 8x10 casserole dish (I think this amount would fit nicely in an 8x8 next time though ), but otherwise made as directed. I had everything on hand for this & it was surprisingly easy. I especially liked that it didn't have to refrigerate for any length of time. We'll be making this again & again! Thanks so much for sharing this recipe, Chabear! :)"
"Made this for my son's birthday and made the recipe for 48 servings but put it in a roaster/lasagna pan instead of 2 13x9 in pan. Doubled the sauce and added extra Jack Daniels. We had 20 people here and not a bite left. I hid mine so I could have it later! Plenty of sauce left and plan on making another pan today. Amazing. So easy also. My family says it goes in the family cookbook."
