"I found this recipe online years ago and I've been making it ever since. I make this every year for St. Patrick's Day and get requests for it just about every other day of the year as well. Serve with LOTS of butter."

"What a great bread recipe!! I made this for 1 loaf and decided to sprinkle some cinnamon in the middle and then top it off with the rest of the batter. I then sliced and toasted it for some cinnamon raisin toast, yummy!!! This bread is sweet and moist. Thanks for sharing the recipe. Made for PAC Spring 2012."
"I made this for my St. Patty's party, and everyone enjoyed it. I made one loaf with dried cranberries and one plain. We ate it with Dublin coddle (highly recommended), corned beef and cabbage, Irish cream brownies, Emerald punch, and Guiness. Great meal!"
"I made this (sans raisins) for my friends and family they absolutely loved it!"
"Being a purist when it comes to Irish soda bread (I was weaned on it) have to admit this it good (for us meant cutting back on the sugar). You can also use yoghurt (not low fat) in place of sour cream. Am also going to try it with buttermilk and make some adjustments."
"It turned out a little more dense than I expected from what the recipe comments said. I followed the recipe exactly except I used dried cranberries instead of raisins. Toasts up very nicely and tastes wonderful with butter. I bought and used some Irish style butter at Trader Joe's. It has a higher percent of butter fat, not good for you but mmm good."
"What a great simple bread. I used dried cranberries and served it with an Irish Coddle. Tasted great, especially when warm and buttered!"
"Nov 8, 2007 - This bread comes out great. I made it without the raisins as the kids don't prefer them. This bread was gone very quickly. UPDATE 8/12/08 - I have made this bread so many times, it is outstanding. It is a sweet bread and everyone loves it warm with butter. I ususally serve this when I make chicken noodle soup. This stuff is gone fast!!!"
"This bread stole the show on St Paddy's day. I added dried cranberries to one loaf, since we're not big on raisins & everyone loved both versions. It was fast, and easy & I love it!"
