"My brother is in construction and needs an easy, high-protein, low mess lunch each day. I started making these for him in large batches and freezing them. He just takes one out of the freezer each morning and it's ready to eat by lunchtime!"

"This recipe is amazing! My hubby loves the crust, and I love the chance to use up leftovers in the fridge and have his lunch ready in the freezer. I've made them with ham and bean and pulled pork so far, but the possibilities are endless! Thanks for a great recipe!!"
"awesome!!! i made some beef stew with no patatoes to put in the middle with a slice of swiss cheese...it was hearty! my boyfriends new favourite lunch on his 12 hr shifts! easy to eat & versatile "
"I skipped the basil in the dough and we really liked it. I filled them with homemade roasted tomato sauce with veggies and then I added ham and cheese to 1/3, to another 1/3 poblano peppers and cheese and the last 1/3 with ground beef and cheddar cheese. I will be making these often because my boys have enjoyed them a lot in their lunches. Thank you for posting!"
"Makes a great lunch and a good way to use up leftovers. It uses ingredients that I've always got around and is very filling. Thanks for the recipe."
"This was so fun to make! The dough turned out beautifully. I doubled the recipe & made the whole thing in my Kitchen Aid Mixer. I used part whole wheat, part white flour, rolled it out, & filled it with diced parmesan-pesto ham and shredded cheddar cheese. I used my circle-sandwich cutter to seal the pocket. Thanks!"
"These are like pasties. That's what we call them in Minnesota eh. Very good w/ ground beef/pork mixture, carrots, potatoes, rutabega, and a little dash of pepper. Ya :)"
"My huasband LOVES these. He does not have access to a microwave at work, we love this recipe because he can take it in the morning and it will be ready by lunch. I use roast and pepperoni with cheese as fillings."
"This is a lovely idea for an OAMC lunch. I made a triple batch of this and paired it with several good Zaar recipes for fillings. I have written this all down in the OAMC Forum in the topic OAMC Plans which is stickied to the top of the page."
