"This is a weight watcher recipe, and one of my favorites. My whole family loves this. It is only 3pts for 1 cup! I didn't see it posted anywhere, and thought I would share it. It is so simple and good. Servings are a guestimate, as my family doesn't have to stick to one cup."
Serving Size: 1 (182 g)
Servings Per Recipe: 6
"I love this recipe! As my name suggests, I am a true, 100% mayo lover of the pure fat variety. However, since joining WW, my tastebuds have adjusted to light mayo - to some degree. The basic ingredients of light mayo, combined with the vinegar, sugar, sour cream, and dijon makes for an outstanding alternative to the "full fat" dressing I have come to know and love. It tasted just as good as the real thing, if not better as it did not leave me with a greasy feel afterward. I substituted the add-ins with celery, apple, egg, and Maui onion. It was great, everyone loved it and didn't know the difference - including my husband, who is an extreme anti-light mayo guy. Thank you for posting the recipe...it's recipes like this that have allowed me to stick with WW!"
"This was just ok. It had way too many tomatoes for me. I think if I were to try this again, I would cut the tomatoes down to just 1-2 cups and not 4. It needs a bit more flavor - maybe more bacon and some green onion or other favorite."
"This was very good. I used greek yogurt instead of sou cream b/c I don't care for s.c. Also kept the lettuce separate and added as we ate so it would get soggy. Reviewed for Pool Party 2010."
"this recipe is simply made and flexible . I'm a vegan so i removed the bacon and i couldnt find any low fat sour cream around so i replaced the sour cream with non fat Greek yogurt and i added a table spoon of lemon juice , tea spoon of basil and a 1/2 tea spoon of garlic powder . it did the trick and i loved it."
"I won't rate this because it's just a personal taste thing for me, but I could not eat this. Made it in hopes to have a yummy lunch for a few days, but ended up throwing most of it out. I'm not normally a fan of raw vinegar at all, but I thought since there was only a little, the other flavors would over power it. Nope. If anything, the dijon mustard brought out the taste of the vinegar. I added a hard boiled egg and avocado to make it edible for me, which helped a lot, but it certainly adds on the points. Will not be making again, but if you don't mind vinegar-y salads, this might be your cup of tea!"
"Love it! Changing it up a bit to lower points(really 5 by adding pasta),turkey bacon to 6 slices, fat free sour cream and fat free mayo should work out as long as cider and mustardand we love pepper, are added to flavor it up! Ill also add the lettuce or cabbage at the time of serving ....this is a fresh new healthy twist on maccaroni salad! Thanks so much for the recipe!"
"Loved it. Such a great snack during the day. I used light mayo since I'm not a fan of FF mayo. Calories a great for an afternoon/midday snack! hubby loves it."
"This was not even edible for any in my family. Not sure what we did wrong but we will not be trying again. Thanks for sharing though."
"We LOVED this recipe! I really liked the flavour of the dressing with a hint of mustard. I used turkey bacon to cut the calories and fat and used low fat creme fraiche in place of sour cream. DH and I fought over the leftovers for lunch tomorrow!"
"This was fair. It did not work out too well for me. Thanks for posting."
"This was really delicious. I used light mayo instead of ff because I don't like ff so it probably added a point or two but, that was OK with me. My hubby and I aren't even big fans of macaroni salad, but this didn't taste like a regular macaroni salad. A great low point way to get my BLT fix! I layered the lettuce in with the pasta mix at serving time so it would stay crisp. Really yummy! We will definitely make this again. Thanks for sharing it!"
"This was delicious! What a great WW recipe! I added cabbage instead of the lettuce. Will make again during the coming bbq season. Note: This was -not- good the 2nd day as leftovers. If cooking for 2 - cut recipe in half."
"UPDATE: this made many more servings than I originally calculated which brought the points down to 2 per serving. It was good. I wish I could've made double the dressing but since its WW I had to be good but it was tasty. Everyone liked it & would eat it again. I even added a few more pieces of bacon since precooked bacon from Aldi is sooo thin. I used romain lettuce since its my fav & white wine vinegar since we were out of apple cidar. Not rating yet. Having as a side dish for tonight's dinner. When I plugged this recipe into my WW recipe builder, it came to 4 points per serving. The items I changed were I am using whole wheat pasta, fat free sour cream & splenda instead of sugar. The tomatoes will be canned diced & the bacon is pre cooked. I will review after I make this. Just wanted to note the actual WW points since this recipe doesn't account for the pasta for some reason."
"I just put this through my recipe builder on WW.com. I put in using whole wheat macaroni and also fat free sour cream. Those were the only two changes I made and I said it has 8 servings because I think you should get AT LEAST 8 cups of salad from this recipe. With all of that said, it was only 3 points per serving (serving size being one cup). I can't wait to try it!"
"Just made this, and yum!!! It's really good. I also did not add the lettuce, since I didn't want it to get soggy. I wish I had green onion, because that would be great in this. Thanks for the recipe!"
"Ends up being more than 3 points per cup, it will work out to about 5 points, since the macaroni isnt included in the dietary listing. It is 3 points without the macaroni."
"I love it and to me one cup was a lot. I made it to eat for my lunches but I would make this for a family gathering, too. The bacon really makes the salad. I, too, did not add the lettuce, figured it would get wilted."
"The nutrition data is VERY confusing, saying that the 2 highest calorie items weren't calculated. The noodles and the Mayo. Not sure if it's right, but my 5 stars are for taste.... Loved it. Very refreshing on a hot day like today."
"Really good and really easy. My whole family likes it. I would make this even if I was not counting points."
