"These little chicken nuggets taste exactly like their restaurant clone, except you know exactly what's going in them and how fresh they are. Fix these for your kids or just indulge yourself."
Serving Size: 1 (149 g)
Servings Per Recipe: 4
"By no means does the chicken taste bad, but it doesn't remotely taste like McDonalds. My husband liked them, but my son wasn't interested despite how close they looked like the original."
"My husband and I followed the recipe exactly...and they did not work. Not sure what we did wrong even after rereading the recipe several times. But with four chicken breasts wasted we can't afford to keep trying them."
"Really good !!! I added paprika to the dry ingredients, and it came out perfect !!! I think it's really important to follow the recipe."
"Very good! A real kid pleaser. I ended up needing a little more flour, they all clumped together in a gooey blob in the bag, so for the last step I just dredged them in a bowl. BI did have to experiment to get the cooking time right and i would prefer if the recipe had some suggestion regarding this. All in all, a great recipe and not nearly as complicated as it sounds."
"My kids loved these. They couldn't stop eating them. Only change that I made was I used half flour and half tempura coating (Golden Dipt) and reduced the salt by half. It seemed to give them a smoother texture, more like McDonalds coating."
"I just made these today for my little brother. He absolutely loved them. Thank you for another great recipe Amy."
"I'm not giving this a star rating becuase I made a mess of the recipe. *NO fault of the recipe* I assure you since I took liberties that didn't work out. I'd like to tell everyone what *doesn't* work so that you can learn from my blunder. I had made other chicken nuggets previously using whole pieces of meat and the fussy kids rejected them because they didn't look the same inside as the commercial ones. So I minced the chicken here and made per the recipe, they didn't seem so big when I put them into balls but they were HUGE compared with the shop ones and the kids weren't fooled for a single second and refused to try even a solitary bite. To boot when I tried them they were really dry inside, probably becuase they were so big that they needed too long to cook. I will try these again... and my nuggets will be TINY next time... so anyone trying to fool kids with a healthier home made chicken nugget recipe, make these really really really small. Sorry Amy for my mess, I hope to try again soon in the future. Thanks!"
"These are great!!! They taste better than Mc Donald's.... Will definitely make these again!"
