"Salmon patties are quick and easy. I got this recipe from my son's babysitter many years ago. My son is now 20 and we still eat these at least a few times a month. These are very moist when done."
Serving Size: 1 (113 g)
Servings Per Recipe: 4
"The hubby loved these! I used 2 small cans of (boneless, skinless) tuna, poured off the juice and added the ingredients as listed. Such a simple recipe, but oh so good! No need to change a thing. If you feel the need to spice it up...add a dash of hot sauce. Actually, you can add anything you want, but as I say..."If it ain't broke, don't fix it!""
"I used Zatarain's shrimp/crab boil pepper liquid, and masa harina as a finer grained substitute for the corn meal, and a couple of dashes of McCormick's Lemon Pepper. Even my non-fish fan sweetie wants this in regular rotation at home. The only change I would make is that I will likely use 2 tsp. of Zatarain's Shrimp boil instead of 1 Tblsp. It had just a little more heat than my Sweetie cares for."
"These were delicious! I didn't have cornmeal so I used bread crumbs instead, next time I might use panko bread crumbs. I also threw in some Old Bay seasoning as well as some lemon juice. They were deliciously moist and tasted fantastic!"
"Made recipe as directed. If I add salt, pepper & a little garlic powder next time(might even add bell pepper as I heard is very good), this will probably be my go to recipe. Thanks for sharing."
"The best Salmon Patty EVER! I will use this recipe from now on when making these...scouts honor! Easy to prepare, moist and delish. I only added some Dijon mustard, personal preference. Served with Orzo with Parmesan and Basil #79431 they went well together. Thank you for sharing!"
"Some of the best salmon patties I've ever had, thank you for sharing the recipe. I didn' t make any changes to recipe at all."
"My mom always made the salmon croquettes but after she passed I was forced to learn. This recipe was a winner but I added bell pepper and red pepper flakes like my mom used to do so delish!"
"I have never made good salmon patties before now! These held together beautifully. I also appreciate that they don't need crackers. I always have these ingredients on hand! Dari, thanks for the recipe! It's a keeper!!"
"Whole family loved these! Thanks Dari...."
"This is very reminiscent of how my mother use to make these when I was growing up. The recipe was reduced in half and made 3 nice patties which is perfect for the 2 of us. I did add in some chopped green pepper. The patties were served with Recipe #428248 and Recipe #16533 for a very nice meal. This is something I will make again. Thanks for posting."
"I just had the creamiest, most delicious salmon patties at the iconic S"
"I can't tell you how long I looked for this specific recipe! All the others called for breadcrumbs and no mayo. My grama used to make them for me all the time and this was her exact recipe :) so happy I found this. I know what I'm making for dinner tonight"
"The family loved this! I realized after beginning the mixing ingredients process that I did not have cornmeal. I substituted panko for the cornmeal and we LOVED the crunch!"
"I have never been a fan of salmon patties - until this recipe! These are delicious! Only things I changed were used the greens of green onion and added about 1T of dill. Fantastic and will definitely make again!"
"My great-grandma used to make salmon patties just like these. I had been making other recipes trying to find one similar to hers, and this is it! Since I'm on a gluten free diet, I replace the regular flour with brown rice flour & it works just as well. I also like to add a dash of cayenne pepper, dried dill, and a squeeze of lemon."
"I found the taste of this recipe pretty bland. I used canned salmon my brother sent from Alaska. I am not sure why it turned out the way it did. I will try it next with seasoned bread crumbs. I guess we will see."
"A bit bland"
"Best salmon patties i have ever made! The mayo is the secret -- and I'll never forget it."
"This was very good and easy to make. I used 2 213g tins of salmon and it yielded 6 patties. I made some slight modifications by adding 2 chopped green onions, 1 Tsp of dijon mustard,1 Tbsp each of dried dill and parsley."
