"My aunt has been making this for years and finally gave my mom and I the recipe...it is always requested for parties, potlucks, birthdays and just because. It's really easy too!"
Serving Size: 1 (111 g)

"This is an amazing and easy way to use fresh-picked berries! The only change I make is to add 1 tsp vanilla to the cake batter. Great with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream!"
"We found our thrill... on Blueberry Hill!! I wanted to try something new with fresh blueberries, & this was perfect for our July 4th weekend!! I made exactly as posted, those who found the topping too sweet simply scraped it off, for those of us who love the sugary thing. This not only tastes great, it makes the house smell wonderful as it bakes. Wish I could give this one 10++ stars. Thank you from one very happy family!"
"IT looks and smells good we just had ONE issue with it... the pan.. you said to use an 8-in square pan started making it and it was getting closed to the top so we put it in an 6x11 inch pan, and well... its cooking its just doubled in height... so next time we might use an even bigger pan, we're not sure if its because of the fresh blueberries.. or if its the high altitude but that pan was WAYYY to small.."
"This was out of this world! I used fresh blueberries and followed the recipe exactly. My family loved this. My husband said this was the best cake he had ever eaten. The sweetness was just right!"
"I rarely feel like baking, but I did yesterday and tried this recipe out... it is gone already! Yum! Mine did take a full hour to bake and I used frozen blueberries. Yum... I only wish I had whipped cream to put on top! :)"
"I just had my first piece nice and warm from the oven with whipped cream. Very easy to put together and it tastes wonderful!!! I baked it a 8 inch springform pan and it took one hour. I will be making this again. I did halve the topping mixture and it was just right."
"I used this recipe in lieu of my mother's recipe which I can never seem to get a hold of when I need it. I make her recipe every July 4th when blueberries are in season and it makes an informal BBQ dessert. The company I made this for loved it and asked for the recipe but I was not very impressed with this as I feel there is way too much topping and it took over the flavor of the blueberries. For personal preferential reasons, I'll stick to my mothers recipe that I'm used to but everyone else seemed to enjoy it."
"My coworkers and I loved this one, it was easy, didn't require braking out the beaters, and it made the whole house smell of cinnamon. Tastes a lot like coffee cake."
"Yum Yum. Mine needed to go about 60 minutes, but it was just the right moistness with lots of blueberry goodness."
"I cannot believe how easy this was and how perfect the buckle turned out. Going to try with different fruit too. This one's a keeper!"
"This brings back memories from my childhood. It was perfect, wouldn't change a thing. Thanks for sharing."
"Excellent. Took it to a potluck and it was gone in about 30 seconds! Easy to make and delicious."
"You know I've always wanted to try Blueberry Buckle and never have until I took off with this recipe this weekend. This was an absolute show-stopper. The cake part baked up so nice and thick and the crumb topping was AWESOME!! I will be making this for years to come. Thanks to you, Sue, and that wonderful aunt of yours!"
"Excellent! Next time i'll back off on the topping a bit, because I like it to be more tart than sweet. But I will be making it again!"
"Scrumptious! Awesome! Incredible! Wow! Can you tell that we really loved this blueberry buckle? lol I served it when it was still a little warm and we put whipped cream on top. We all had second helpings and one of my sons pleaded for a third helping! This is a recipe that I will be making many, many more times! Thank you for posting. "
"I got a chance to get my hands on some super sweet, perfectly ripe blueberries and made this. OMG!!!!! Is all i can say. I can't wait to go picking and make more. I wonder how it would be w/ frozen?? I didn't change a thing, now that i tasted it i might add more berries. How could you go wrong??? Thank you for posting. Will definatley make again. A nice change from muffins and bread. I can't believe how good this is!!!!! Everyone must try this!!!! "
