"This my sister's recipe. We took two loaves of this bread to take to a chille cook out last fall. Before the chilli was served, the bread was gone. I'm guessing on the servings"
Serving Size: 1 (107 g)
Servings Per Recipe: 10
"I took this to a potluck where the main dish was a gumbo. Everyone loved it. It was easy to prepare. Thanks for posting."
"I am so not a Big fan of sourdough but I thought that with the cheese it might take the bitter flavor of the bread away. Man was this awesome! I made it for Thanksgiving and everyone loved it! I preped it the day before and stole alittle oven time with the yams the day of. Thanks so much Jane!"
"Man, was this YUMMY! A real crowd pleaser. (-:"
"My family also couldn't leave this alone. I used parsley instead of green onions and added parmesan cheese. Also wrapped it in foil and heated it on the grill. Very yummy!"
"A very good cheesy bread that my family loved! Thank you for a easy way to get a great bread on the table. :) I may add some minced garlic to it the next time I make this, and I WILL be making it again. Thanks again!"
"I made this twice in a week for family get togethers. It is wonderful!! If you're serving it with dinner, make sure you don't bring it out early--it won't make it to the table. This stuff is devoured very quickly. This is great served as an appetizer or with chili, or spaghetti, or soup.... I will make this often. Thanks for posting Jane."
"This was oooey, goooey, good! I would suggest taking it easy on the garlic salt or it will be too intense. No more than 1 tsp."
"I have had this before. The only difference is that when I made it I used shredded cheese and added parsley to the butter mixture. This is an amazing addition to almost any meal. I have also made it using other types of cheese depending on the meal I am serving it with. Thank you for posting this!"
"Awesome bread! Had this for dinner last night, it was gone in a flash and they looked around and asked if there was any more. I added a little parsley to the melted butter and a blend of cheddar and montery jack cheese. Thanks Jane for posting this recipe."
"This was very good! This just might be on the menu for any holiday. I actually grated some of the cheese to ensure that it would melt. There was some left over that I took into work with me. It warmed up again nicely, just like the first time I baked it. Yum yum! There are a few who are watching their carbs, but gave in to have some after hearing the ohh-ahhs of everyone that was trying it. Thank you, Jane, for a wonderful recipe."
"This was fantastic! Very simple to make too. I bought a round of sourdough from the grocery store, sliced and baked. It was very rich and just so darn tasty! "
"OMG this is awesome. I'm so glad I random tagged it. I made 2 round loafs of Donna M's Sourdough French Bread. One large one and a smaller one for this recipe since there are just the 2 of us. It turned out great halving the recipe for the two of us. I really didn't measure the cheese just sliced a piece to fit the cuts in the bread. Thanks so much Jane for a keeper. "
