"It's 15.9 carbs sugar carbs in 1 1/3 cups. Divided out in tbs (approx 21 tbs in 1 1/3 cups) it's 1.32 carbs per tbs. Of course, if you don't subtract the fiber then it's more. I don't consider that a bad deal, since I usually eat 1-2 tbs in a sitting, not the entire recipe."
"I just thought I'd let you know the differences between some of the tomato pastes used to create this recipe. <br/><br/>The closest to the original recipe is Hunt's tomato paste - it's extremely smooth and not lumpy. Publix's tomato paste also tastes fine but has a bit of texture to it. <br/>The least similar option is Walmart's great value tomato paste, which has the most lumpiness. It was slightly less enjoyable. <br/><br/>Any tomato paste will work in this recipe but the Hunt's was a cut above. <br/><br/>I love this stuff. It's less than.60 cents of ingredients for about a bottle, vs. $3.00 at the store. It's no harder to make the low carb stuff than regular ketchup so I'm shocked by how some companies are sticking it to the consumer for the "low sugar" label."

"Low carbers bewrae. this recipe has a whopping 15 grams of sugar! Definitely NOT low carb. Just for future reference, tomatoes are one of the highest carb veggies and they are where the sugar is oming from in tomato based recipes."
