"This is one of the best green bean recipes I have tried and its so easy because you prepare it in the crock pot. This comes from my Crockery Dinners cookbook. Enjoy."

"I'm glad I tried this. I don't really care for the "classic" green bean casserole, but this is different. It's much tastier and more colorful. (It has more "kid-appeal" too, because of the cheese ;). I used 98% FF cream of mushroom soup, otherwise I made this exactly as written. I'm glad that I found this recipe. This will be on my Thanksgiving menu for this year! Thanx for posting!"
"Absolutely wonderful. I used real bacon bits instead of frying bscon."
"These were really, really good. I did not have any pimiento so I used some red pepper I chooped finely. Definitely will make these again!"
"A Most Excellent Tasting Recipe!!!!!!!"
"Wow these were really good. I don't like the "traditional" green bean casserole but we loved this. I didn't add the onions or the pimientos but followed the rest of the recipe as written. I cooked it on high for 3 hours. Will be making this again."
"Great bean casserole! I made this on top of the stove top with fresh green beans and mushrooms. Really nice combination of flavors and textures. I will definitely make these for a crowd in the crockpot next time. Thanks Nimz."
"I made this for Easter Dinner. It was a great success. I will make it again for a special gathering."
"I actually made this on top of my stove, I sauteed some onions and fresh garlic then added into the soup mixture along with some Cajun spice, I was tempted to also add in some cream to the mixture but I am glad I did not as it was the perfect texture. This was a great find for me as I have a huge amount of garden beans that I froze. Thanks for sharing Nims!...Kitten:)"
"Easy, tasty dish; perfect for a potluck. I subbed cream of onion for the mushroom soup & cooked on low for 6 hours. The onions still had a bit of a crunch & we liked that! Thanks for posting!"
"This was very good and so easy. I love a good crockpot recipe. The flavor of the green beans was very good, and this smelled very nice while it cooked. I did cut back on the cheese a little because I'm not a big cheese eater. I cooked this recipe on the low-heat setting for 4 hours. This is a nice recipe that I will make again. Thanks for sharing! "
"This was tasty but for some reason it wasn't a big hit on Christmas Day. Could be that we did a buffet and it got missed. I used fresh mushrooms and diced red pepper in place of the pimento. Nice change from green bean casserole and loved that I could just throw it in the crock-pot and save space in the oven."
"SORRY, but I will be omitting this recipe from my boards! I made it w/cauliflower according to the recommended 2 hours in my crock pot and after that time it was not cooked - My husband who is a graduate of the Culinary of America in New York had to redo this dish and bake it in the oven for an hour before it was cooked enough to eat!"
"Loved your green bean recipe, although I must admit that I did leave out the mushrooms (used a quarter cup of sliced chestnuts) & substituted cream of potato soup for the mushroom kind! I also used a generous half cup of Hormel's Real Bacon Pieces in place of the fried & crumbled bacon! Maybe that was a lot of substitutions, but it still remained a wonderful tasting green bean dish! Thanks for sharing it! [Tagged & made in Please Review My Recipe]"
