"This came from the Yankton, South Dakota Press and Dakotan newspaper. My DD does not like cinnamon rolls (my child?) so I thought this might be more like a caramel apple and less like cinnamon. It is very caramel-like and the apples are soft and fragrant. Worth the time to make the filling. If you have a kitchen aid mixer, follow your manufacturer directions to make the dough with the mixer!"

"Great recipe. I got about 24 2" rolls. I would probably recommend making more filling next time, although for health reasons that's probably not best lol! I ran out of regular flour, so made mostly whole wheat and it actually tasted fine. Will defiantly make again"
"I'm truly sorry to rate these so low when other's found them wonderful but I can only comment on my experience with this recipe. Huge disappointment. I'm an experienced bread maker and these did just not turn out for me. Even though my yeast was within it's bb date, they took 3 times the recommended time to even begin to rise and I lost most of the filling when I rolled and cut these. There was no wonderful bread smell when baking and they turned out tasteless though the texture was fine. Next time I'll choose a recipe that is more familiar to me in that it has the warm liquid added to the yeast before mixing."
"With company at the house I was trying to find something really yummy for breakfast. These fit the bill! I used 1 c. of minced walnuts too, as we love nuts and it was a great addition. These are a great find!"
"These are the best cinnamon rolls I have ever had. The recipe is fairly easy. Everyone loved them and I will definitely make them again I did use a powder sugar frosting topping instead pf the cinnamon one."
"This was awesome. This exact recipe was posted on the Fleishmann's website. I doubled the filling and it turned our perfectly. It looked like too much when I was rolling and cutting, but after they were baked it was just right. Not too sweet either. I highly recommend this recipe."
"Great recipe! My husband felt they were so good they could win a contest. He took one in to his boss the next day! My sons and I enjoyed them also. "
"I made these today for our ladies morning Bible study. The filling was enough for just one roll of cinnamon dough and I left out the nutmeg. I put the rolls in muffin tins - 12 large ones and 24 mini ones. The dough is tough to roll out but that just means an extra workout! These smell great baking and are something a little different than the usual cinnamon roll. The filling could be used for all kinds of things. Thanks!"
