"Really quite good. Not too sweet either. Be sure to use a LARGE skillet when cooking this up. You'll want to have that water evaporate as quickly as possible so as not to 'boil' your almonds and make them soggy!"
"Really easy, no fat, except for what is naturally contained in the almonds. I made this for a party snack - what a hit. Had to send the recipe to everyone! Use the 2T of cinnamon."
"Yum - super good and couldn't be easier."
"These were great, not too heavily coated like some other candied nuts. I made these with left over pecans from the holidays and they tasted great. I cut the cinnamon back to 1 1/2 tablespoons and they were delicious. The nuts were not as crunchy as I would like, next time I will wait a little longer before I add them. Thanks for sharing."
"This recipe was EXACTLY what I was looking for! Perfectly tasty, crunchy and sweet! Thank you!"
"Wow these are so easy and tasty!! Was shocked at how well this worked and how quick it was compared to other sugared nut recipes I have made. The only change I made was to use raw almonds instead of blanched almonds. Made half recipe but they went so quick will have to make more again today, good thing it was quick and easy (wink). Thanks for the post."
"I made these to take on vacation with us. I thought these would be a great item to take into the parks with us. Yep, I was right and we loved the taste. I wish I would have doubled the recipe. Thank you for posting."
"Yummy, easy & quick - just how I like my snacks! I made this after "Glazed Nuts" #15362 didn't work out - the sugar never melted. I like this recipe's method to bring the sugar & water to boil, and then add the nuts."
"I made this for a treat for Christmas. I did used mixed nuts instead of just almonds. It was great. I did notice one thing, that the sugared coating didn't stick to the peanuts as well as the other nuts. I don't know if this mattered but the peanuts were the only thing that didn't have a "skin" on them, so maybe the sugar coating could adheare to anything. They were arguing over who got to take the leftovers home. Thank you for sharing your recipe."
"I must admit I was skeptical since my sister used to make sugared almonds and they took ALL DAY, well, this recipe was fabulous and super easy. However I did find it took me about a half hour to cook (total time). I did reduce the spices to about 1 tbsp instead of 1 1/2 - 2. I also used 3 cups almonds and 1 cup pecans and it turned out super yummy! This will be added to my holiday repertoire!"
"We used to live in West Africa, and we prepared peanuts in the same fashion. However, I am now allergic to peanuts, so almonds were a wonderful alternative for me. The recipe is easy to prepare, and the almonds are addictive. I loved the addition of the cinnamon but suspect they would be great even without it."
"We loved these!!! Even made them for my sister's wedding reception. Fast and easy. And wonderful flavor. Thank you so much!!!!"
