Tomato Beef

Ingredients

    1. 1/2 lb flank steak, thin slices
    2. 3 tomatoes
    3. 2 green onions
    4. 1 clove garlic, chopped
    5. 2 tablespoons oil
    6. 1 teaspoon soy sauce, light
    7. 1 1/2 teaspoons wine
    8. 1 1/2 teaspoons water
    9. 1/2 teaspoon oil
    10. 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
    11. 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch

    Sauce

    1. 3 tablespoons tomato ketchup
    2. 1 teaspoon sugar
    3. 1/2 teaspoon vinegar
    4. 1 pinch salt and pepper
    5. 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch, in 1 t water

Directions

  1. Marinate beef slices for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat wok with 2 T oil and garlic for 30 seconds, add beef, cook for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes, remove and drain oil.
  3. Set aside.
  4. Heat wok, high, add tomato wedges and stir for 2 minutes, then add sauce mixture.
  5. Thicken if too watery.
  6. Return beef and stir well and serve hot.
  7. Serve immediately.
