Perfect Peppermint Patties

You can create up to five timers

Ingredients

    1. 16 ounces powdered sugar
    2. 3 tablespoons butter, softened
    3. 2 -3 teaspoons peppermint extract
    4. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    5. 1/4 cup evaporated milk ( not sweetened condensed)
    6. 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
    7. 2 tablespoons shortening

Directions

  1. Combine first four ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Add milk and mix well.
  3. Roll into 1 inch balls and place on waxed paper lined baking sheet.
  4. Flatten with a glass to 1/4 inch thick.
  5. Cover and freeze for 30 minutes.
  6. In a bouble boiler or microwave safe bowl,melt chips and shortening together.
  7. Dip patties in chocolate and place on wax paper to harden.
