Ingredients

    1. 1 1/2 cups flour
    2. 1/4 cup rolled oats
    3. 1/4 cup sugar
    4. 2 tablespoons baking powder
    5. 1/4 teaspoon salt
    6. 3 tablespoons butter
    7. 2 tablespoons milk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly grease baking sheets.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, oats, sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add just enough milk to make a firm dough.
  3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead until smooth.
  4. Roll out to a thickness of 1 1/8". Using a fork, prick all over.
  5. Using a 1 1/2" round cookie cutter, cut rounds and place 1" apart on prepared pans.
  6. Bake for 12-15 min, until the crust is golden brown.
  7. transfer to wire racks to cool.
