Ingredients

    1. 6 tablespoons butter
    2. 1/3 cup flour
    3. 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    4. 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, ground
    5. 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
    6. 1 dash thyme
    7. 1 (13 3/4 ounce) cans chicken broth
    8. 1 cup milk
    9. 3 cups broccoli florets, bite-size
    10. 1 cup whipping cream
    11. 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
    12. 1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
    13. 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded ( 4 oz)
    14. 1/2 cup havarti cheese, shredded ( 2 oz)
    15. 1/2 cup swiss cheese, shredded ( 2 oz)

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a 3-quart saucepan over low heat.
  2. Blend in flour and seasonings.
  3. Gradually add broth and milk; cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
  4. Stir in broccoli, simmer 10 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat; stir in cream, Worcestershire sauce and hot pepper sauce.
  6. Add cheeses; stir until melted.
