Pineapple Honey Adobo Glaze (For Ham)

Ingredients

    1. 1 cup honey
    2. 1 (10 ounce) cans crushed pineapple
    3. 1 -2 chipotle chile in adobo, diced to taste
    4. 1 tablespoon adobo sauce ( use more to taste)
    5. 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
    6. 1/4 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
    7. salt
    8. pineapple ring ( to garnish) (optional)

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients, except salt, in a blender or food processor and puree until smooth.
  2. Add salt and adjust to taste. Add additional chipotle and adobo sauce for a more fiery taste.
  3. In a small saucepan over medium heat, simmer the sauce until lightly thickened.
