Ingredients
-
2 cups
hot water
-
2 tablespoons
sugar
-
2 (1/4 ounce) package
dry yeast
-
2 tablespoons
oil
-
4 cups
flour
-
1 teaspoon
salt
Directions
- Put 2 cups hot water in a large bowl, add 2 T sugar, add 2 pkgs dry yeast, let it set and it will dissolve. Add 2 T oil, add flour and salt and mix until it forms a ball and knead it 15 minutes. Put a big pan of hot water in the stove. and place bowl of dough on top. It will rise to double within 45 minutes.
- Put Crisco in pan to grease and divide dough and spread it to edge.
- The directions then say 400 degrees - 15 - bottom shelf 15-top shelf. I'm not sure if that means a full 30 minute cooking time. Unfortunately Aunt Alma is no longer cooking on this side.
